I'm fine, just recovering from my injuries. I'm going to need plastic surgery on my nose once the stitches come out, and I'll probably have a scar or two. I learned a harsh lesson and yes, you're absolutely right, I will have one hell of a story to tell my grandkids
My advice: Don't do online dating.

That's just like, your opinion man. I found Undercover sweet as tits too, I'm sure PostalDude can vouch for that.
Anyway, I just saw a scene of this movie earlier today, I cannot believe I've missed this getting released.
The part I saw was a traffic stop/shooting and it was done so good, so authenthic it was nearly scary. Really well executed. The movie also doesn't seem to be all action. Not just that kicking ass and taking names stuff, but also sort of laid back and showed the deputies personal lives. Take this cute scene for an example.
Downloading the movie right now, I heavily recommend it to anybody who can get their hands on it.
I think Shift 2 is the best one post Most Wanted. Undercover is the only one in the series that I couldn't finish playing for being so horrible (haven't played The Run and Most Wanted 2012 yet, so I can't say anything about these two ones).
My favourite NFS game is High Stakes on the ps1. I played that game so much growing up
I found it cool how there was a whole cop unlock system, instead of just racer unlocks.

NFS High Stakes. The feels, oh damn. That game was freaking sweet. Another one I dearly loved was Hot Pursuit 2 on PC. Loved being the police.
- "28 county, in pursuit. The vehicle is a red sports car."
- "Copy 28."
I always wished I could've have more AI backup though, wanted some huge chases.
My favorite NFS is probably Undercover though, just due to the amount of emphasis they put on the police force. The random police chatter you would hear when cruising for an example.

Or the refined police chase system. I liked how law enforcement agencies weren't tied up to heat levels. Instead to your "wheelman" level or how dangerous you actually were. If the police were to give you a chase and you didn't have a whole lot on your record, the local city police would first give chase, then sometimes escealate it to state units and even tac units if there was no change in the situation. They could also cut you loose if it got too dangerous for the civilians around. If you had gotten far enough in the story to a point where you had commited a lot of crimes for sure, even the feds could be on the scene in 2 minutes top.
The busted scenes are some of my all time favorites. Favorite NFS ones anyway. The amount of variations there were for them was great. The busted scenes would depend on the primary law enforcement agency being lead (city police, highway patrol, state police, S.W.A.T., feds), area you got busted in (alley, highway, downtown, causeaway), and there were even multiple of the scenes for all the variations too.
Here's only a few of them, really.
My personal favorite is the one where state units bust you in an alleyway. The protagonist jumps out of his car and forces troopers to chase him on foot. He attempts to jump onto a dumpster but a state police car pulls up and taps the dumpster, causing the protagonist to fall off on the hood of the cruiser which the troopers then thow him off to the ground to and hook him up. The cops then grin and shake hands as the screen fades away.
Gameplay could've done with variations but it's really about cinematic, movie like chases. They wanted to give player the ability to easily pull off cool moves with a few taps of the controller.
This video really explains it a whole lot better.
It had plenty of race modes to go with. Highway battles being some of my favorite ones. The ones I liked most were the storyline related missions though. Stealing cars, taking down crime lords and so forth. A really nice, refereshing change from your ordinary chases and races. The whole cinematic feel to the game is great in my opinion.
This clip should give a bit of insight on how cinematic it is, exactly.
All I really got to say about it so far. Of course it had an online section but that wasn't really so great. Wanted freeride for it.
Hot Pursuit 2 is the best in the series, Undercover could have been good if it wasn't visibly rushed: None of the upgrades are truelly needed; if you souped up a tier 3 vehicle you never needed a tier 4 one (good or bad thing, this is debateable). One thing that bugged me the most where those shadows that shifted position relatively to the car instead of from lightsources. Not that UC didn't had positive stuff going for it: I loved the highway battles, reminded me of free roam sprint races in UG2 but even more hectic. World design was pretty awesome aswell, one of the best in the series imho. Vehicle selection was nice aswell but the story? eh, could have been better.
Anyway, my rant on UC.

Most definitely. I really don't know why they thought their developement cycle thing was a good idea, because it wasn't. Maybe they lost a couple of brain cells after Shift. I can also agree regarding the story. However, the stories since Most Wanted to Undercover were all horrible. Over the top ridiculous and cheesy. (not in Saints Row-ish way) At least Undercover tried something refreshing, like you being a police officer for an example. It was something fresh for a change, and it could've been potentionally awesome looking from the first trailer they released for the game itself.
Luckily the storyline itself created some great missions for the game, which I think is the point itself here.
Also can't believe I forgot to mention the world itself. Now that's what I thought was really awesome. You got the whole highway system connecting the complete city, all of the main boroughs together.
Nothing quite like leading the police troughout a massive chase on the highway system.
I agree, the game concept was great, being an undercover cop, beautiful world full of diversity, great variety of cars mixing old and new. Soundtrack was also great with some cool electronic music.
What i didn't like about this game was the car handling, wish they kept it like NFS MW / Carbon style.
Also great news for us who don't like GTA V car handling.
Tanner is alive and he wants revenge. The story will continue in Moscow (the russians bought the stolen cars).
Personally i dislike the car handling in every gta game, they all seem to floaty and slippery, idk just my opinion. 1 Thing i loved about all the NFS games is that it seemed like the cops had strategy. GTA games cops seem very mindless (except for v) and in driver SF the cops really pissed me off, all the ramming and just speeding into walls . I remember playing most wanted and just being worried about what the cops are going to do next when trying to survive for an amount of time. Thats why i like the NFS games, the cops chases are brilliant. Imagine cop ai from NFS in a driver game not the sh*t of Driver SF.

Actually, the cops in IV do use strategies. Most of the time depending on the wanted level though. After 2 stars they seemingly begin to do PIT manuevers for an example, of course rarely succeeding due to the more realistic handling lines unlike in the previous titles or V and limitation of AI's reaction times and object data reading. Amount of other traffic also makes it a whole lot harder.
