Lol! That reminds me of something I saw today! I went to Avcon (like Comicon, but smaller... This is only Adelaide, after all) and they had stalls, as conventions generally do. One of their stalls was promoting South Australian libraries. It went through listing their products, including manga, comics, games and dvds, but didn't once mention books. It made me laugh.

But I got really pissed a few times. I'm a pretty relaxed person when it comes to cosplay. So long as we get the gist of it, I think it's pretty good, but if people go out of their way to put in details, it has to be right. I almost cried when I saw some guy dressed as an akatsuki member... With an Anbu mask. Granted, most of you won't get the deal, but it hurt, damn it!!!
Perhaps you could better understand the guy dressed as Roy, from The IT Crowd... He was pretty amusing.

Also, I have a new laptop (yay!) so I'll probably be on more. No more worrying about it randomly shutting down, or not being able to sign in! Yay!!!
I assume you watch the IT Crowd then, great show isn't it?
What series is currently being shown over there?

None :( I watch it with my ex, who downloads it (Pirate Bay ftw).
Except tonight I watched it on my own for the first time... '"What kind of operating system does it use?" "It's uh... Vista" "We're going to die!"'
Lol.

Hello, DMC.

As if I needed to ask. And I guess I had forgotten what you posted about it in the topic about our favorite fictional characters.

That image kept reminding me of something. It was a screenshot I took back in 2003 while playing a game.

Notice that I, like madness, enjoy putting sunglasses on my video game characters. Picking up his tendencies before I ever had the pleasure of making the DMC's acquaintance in 2007.

Okay, boss, I think I have an avatar I can stay with now. What do you think, man? That is an imitation picture I made of a vehicle license plate from the state and year in which I was born, Arizona 1968. There is no cactus in that spot on the real one from back then, though -- just a hyphen.

By the way, since writing what a shame it is that there is not time enough to watch everything one might be interested in, I have viewed nine episodes of Stargate Universe...and read very little of anything

Harlequin, I was thinking about you while making veggie burgers from the recipe you gave me (although a slightly modified version). Congratulations on your new laptop.

That was funny, what you wrote about there being nothing about reading books at the library stall thing you visited at Avcon.

Yeah, I am one of most people in this regard, and just about any other as well. I am also unfamiliar with the character named Roy from The IT Crowd, which I have never seen.

So, what, man -- and sorry I could not pass a quiz on what I read in here, but I hope that does not make you feel as though your words are wasted on me -- but was this the event for which you had been considering dressing as Meowth? "Third wheel alert." That was funny. What did you dress as after all, then, man? (Or did I already read that, too?)

The event is my best friend's 21st. It's 90's themed, which I find hilarious because she was born in the eighties. According to her, there's nothing good to dress up as from then... I almost hit her, but then decided that being able to see someone dress up as Courtney Love (yes, it is planned) will be far more amusing than a Madonna costume... But it's in September, so it's a little while yet.
And I'm going as Sailor Mercury. It's mostly so I don't need to wear a wig, but also because it's kind of awesome. Lol
But I've decided to stop drinking until then. It will be a difficult task, as I have a going away party the week before. It seems that every time I drink, I do something very stupid. Not that I don't do stupid things sans alcohol, but alcohol-induced stupidity seems to be quite... OTT... Lol

Oh well, I still got the "Rumours" section of that Driver 2 guide...

Heck, I decided to make up my own fake Driver 2 secret...

OK, in Chicago, go to the train station & look for the ticket window. Press the action button & a door will open up in the building across the street. Go through that door & you'll be in a large garage. At a far corner of the garage is a monster truck. Drive out of the garage with it & you can actually crush cars!

(DISCLAIMER: The trick you have just read is fake. Wheelman75 GmbH does not endorse, condone, or encourage the fabrication of video game cheats, hints or secrets in an attempt to pass them off as being real.)

Hey, congratulations, man. As I wrote previously in this topic, my first one was a 1969 Chrysler New Yorker.
Here is a picture of one that is the same color mine was:

I guess that one is up for sale in case somebody else wants to drive one, too. LOL

Awesome :)
I'm looking for my first car... I was going to buy my friend's Skyline R34, but it's a V8... I don't know why, it just is... And there's some new law coming in that says you can't drive a v8 on a provisional licence, so naturally, I want to kill whoever ruined my perfect car. Lol.

It's been pretty quiet on here lately. I check before I go to work (like now...) and there rarely seems to be anything new. Strange, considering all of the rumours I've been hearing around the place. Advantage of being friends with designers, I guess...
Perhaps DM isn't going to recover from the changeover... It looks unlikely. And before you say it, I have noticed we have a couple of new people (Yo!), but it's still nowhere near the calibre that it was when Madness was in charge...
Or maybe I'm crazy... Actually, no maybe about it. I'm crazy, but about this I'm sure...

So you can't drive any car with a V8 regardless of performance? I mean, what if it's something that's not especially high-performance, like a pickup truck?

That sucks.

I can't drive anything less than a V-8.

Speaking of which, I get my full license in two months. (which means I'll be able to drive at ALL hours, right now I can't drive from 11PM-5AM)

We don't have curfew, but from the first of september no provisional driver can drive a v8, regardless of the vehicle's condition. It's crap. Some "hoon" laws. It won't really work. If it weren't for the fact that skylines are targeted by police, I'd buy it anyway, because it's modified. Police wouldn't be able to tell by looking at it that it was a v8, and they tend to think that girls don't know enough about cars to modify them, so I'd be safe.... But at the same time, Skyline="it can't be hers"...
I'm gonna have to buy something crappy, like a gemini :( Lol. Kidding.... I'd never own something like that :p
Congratulations, Sedans. If things go to plan, I'll have my full licence in... About three years. lmao

In my neck of the woods, people with a provisional license are barred from driving from 1 A.M.-5 A.M.

I still have to wait two years until I can get a driving licence. Well, I'm better than Harlequin! :P
