Man, I was watching Tom Snyder one night (like thirteen years ago), and he was interviewing Ray Davies of The Kinks. I felt really uncomfortable viewing that segment of the show. The dude asked Davies what bands he liked that are out now (were out then, whatever). Davies said he liked Blue. Snyder goes, "Bleh?" and commented on what a strange name was, I think. So, Davies told him he was saying, Blue.

It got kind of awkward, and Snyder seemed to be groping for something to say next, so he started asking about the gap between Davies's front tetth. "Do you ever think about having that fixed?" LOL I know, man. I was like, WTF?

I watched the Late Show with David Letterman last night. I like him. I was about to watch the greatest movie ever, and instead got insanely distracted by how funny he was... I stayed up two extra hours just so I could watch him on free-to-air and cable. lmao

I think Letterman is funny. I guess I might not like him as much if my politics leaned toward the right instead of to the left.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show. I bought it on dvd on... Wednesday, I think. I've already watched it about twenty times since then. I'm one of the crazies that knows all the words. My boyfriend thinks it's hilarious... Or he did, until I changed his ringtone to creature of the night

I am surpised to learn just how popular American TV shows are in other countries. It seems that for many years we (USA) have had a lot of BBC programming and a fair amount of Spanish language television stuff, since there is a large Latino population in the USA, but I never noticed much else from other countries on TV here.

What do I know? I am a bit out of touch when it comes to television. I only have about five channels of TV service, and the only reason I mess with that is because my cable ISP charges less for Internet service and what it calls 'limited basic television' than it does for Internet service alone.

Americans ruined every show they took from here. Do you remember Kath and Kim, from a few years ago? It was ours. Apparently, Australian jokes don't translate... Especially not muffin top jokes on a reasonably thin woman. It was quite irksome.
But the Brits get more Australian shows... Neighbours and Home and Away, I think... My great-nana watches Neighbours

I remember seeing it listed as an ongoing Midnight Movie feature at the theaters, back when I lived in places where they had such a thing, along with Pink FLoyd: The Wall and Led Zeppelin: The Song Remains the Same. I only ever watched the latter two.

I guess that I am only familar with a handful of TV shows from the UK. I think most of them are from Mystery or something like that: Inspector Linley, Inspector Morse, Inspector Foyle, Miss Marples, Inspector Poirot, etc. I saw a lot of Keeping Up Appearances and As Time Goes By over the years. I think those are funny.

No, not really. I can remember a mass of war facts (I'm a history nerd, I'll admit it.) but I don't actually study anything to do with history... It only helps when I play Trivial Pursuit (and proceed to slaughter my mother with my mad skills).

Speaking of UK/Australia being one and the same, yesterday I joined a music site. It had options to list where you hailed from, like "USA", "Canada", "New Zealand" and then randomly "UK/Australia". It irked me that the kiwi's got their own, but we didn't.

Also, anyone watching the soccer/football? Did you watch the socceroos vs All Whites? It was a horrible game, but still, we won. That's all that matters. Against NZ.
