Some games have been banned over here. In the past games like Doom, Duke Nukem 3D and Carmageddon were banned. More recently Counter-Strike (yes, they banned a game 8 years after it's release) and Bully (Canis Canem Edit).

Believe it or not, the US ratings system started out with G, M, R, & X. "M" was dropped & replaced with "GP" (now "PG") because there was confusion over whether "M" or "R" rated films were more intense. "PG-13" was added in 1984 because there were films that were too intense for a "PG" rating, but not intense enough for an "R" rating. The "X" rating was replaced by "NC-17" because "X" had not been copyrighted & was being abused by the porn industry.

Over here it's "L", "10", "12", "14", "16" and "18", which applies for both games and films, TV series, etc. I guess they changed the way they rate video-games recently, because Driv3r is rated "18" while Parallel Lines is "16". Also, rarely console games are rated due to a lack of an official distribution over here, while almost all PC games are rated.

Also, over here, PC games are far cheaper than console games. Usually, PC games cost R$99 (US$54), while console games cost around R$250 (US$134). I guess it's due to the lack of an official distribution.

Yes, there is. On your twitter account page, there is an option about a 'more info url', under that, there should be a link about adding Twitter to your website. That's pretty much it... I went to the homecoming dance. My ears wanted to commit suicide. Austin, who's a friend, was there, and we decided to talk to the school about DJ'ing for future dances and other things. Why? Because we have actual taste in music.

I went to the homecoming dance. My ears wanted to commit suicide. Austin, who's a friend, was there, and we decided to talk to the school about DJ'ing for future dances and other things. Why? Because we have actual taste in music.

I hate to ask a painfully obvious question, but are you good? lol. I never went to school dances, except formal, because the music always sucked. They'd send out surveys of what we wanted to play, but never played it

I have software called Virtual DJ, and I've been testing myself with it, and I don't think I'm too bad. Ryan's dad was a DJ like this, so we've got most, if not all, of the equipment, since Ryan signed up. Austin and I have already discussed plans that will keep us out of arguments over music. We're not the fondest of each other's musical tastes, although they do cross at points, and Ryan and I are big Daft Punk fans. We also decided to DJ in style. Austin plans on wearing this rather odd mask, and I plan on wearing the helmet of the guy on the left in my avatar (our left).

All we need now is money and to convince the school administrators.

And how your school never played the music? Sounds a lot like ours. I made the first request, and they skipped over it. When I went up with Austin the second time, the list was literally overflowing. There was little space to write, and no lines. We counted: only 4 requests were played. When my dad learned that, he became even more supportive of the DJ'ing. He liked the idea, said it was an easy way to make money, and even let me borrow a catalog to look through.

I have never been to a school do because the suck balls, partly because I go to an all boys school which means that such discos with the local all girls school are rare, you can hardly ever get served without getting ID'd and they generally lack the atmosphere of a proper event...

I plan on a bit. Most of my playlist is Daft Punk, most of Austin's is Metal, and we haven't even seen Ryan's.

I was in some plays back in high school, TK. Each year I tried out for something called play contest. Schools competed with each other. There would be like ten plays in each contest, and the winner would advance to the next round of competition or whatever. I did that three times. The second time, they gave me the lead role for some very unclever reason. Some other guy was much more convincing at tryouts, or auditions, or whatever they were called. At the regional contest, one of the judges, who would have these critique sessions, taught me more about acting in about ten seconds than the drama coach at my school ever managed to. By then I had already done my part to ruin the play, though, and we were out of the competition.

The next year, I auditioned again, and they gave me two roles in the play. We did better that year and got to the state contest. The night before, this dude named Todd and I went out behind the motel we were staying at and smoked some marijuana. The next day, after our performance, which was the first of the day, Todd told me Hoyt grabbed him by the collar, threw him violently against the bus, and told Todd he knew Todd had been smoking weed, and if Todd messed up the play, Hoyt would beat up Todd. Bullies at school seemed to enjoy harassing and hitting Todd, who was rather unconventional.

I was laughing. I guess Hoyt didn't have an opportunity to issue such a warning to me as well as to Todd. Our play came in ninth place out of ten plays, one of which did not show up. No one actually said anything to me, but I got the idea that I was to feel like crap for being one of the two stoned people who ruined our play's chances for success.

I kept my distance from my schoolmates all day, and was seated in a different part of the theater during the awards ceremony when they called my name to receive one of the individual actor awards presented. That felt sweet.

I hate it when haters gang up on you, especially when it is a matter of some sort of popular bias fueling unnecessarily unkind behavior (not to seem like I think it was appropriate to have been smoking weed on the trip). Good luck with your situation with the haters, TK, and with your play-acting. I am happy to read that life is awesome for you again, btw.

Todd was kicked out of drama class. The teacher called me in to speak with her privately and asked me if I was smoking, too on the trip. I looked her straight in the face, told her I would not lie to her, and then did so. She said something about being glad she could trust me.

That is a trip that you guys like old television shows. Much of the stuff I watched on television when growing up was reruns, including Hogan's Heroes (just barely, I guess...lol). Even today, it is the same. I like Perry Mason and Alfred Hitchcock Hour and Alfred Hitchcock Presents a lot, I guess.

I know you guys are all over the world, but down here we have a little issue with censorship at the moment. You may have seen things in the news about South Australian's (like me, bb and Madness) losing our right to anonymity when it comes to the election next month, and I'm fairly definite you all know about our lack of an R18+ when it comes to video games. Now there's a whole heap of crap going down with R18+ movies (which pisses me off, because, as a 20 year old, I should be able to rent and buy what I want, without making it look like I'm buying porn...) and it's getting quite irksome.
But the movie thing isn't important right now... Well, not until I go to buy Little Ashes, and someone tells me I have to go into the back because it's an 'illicit' film... The game thing is the big one.
There is an online petition to change the law, and it's open to everyone, and it's reached a hell of a lot of people. It gets sent to parliament on the 14th of Feb, so if you want to sign, then please do

I'm also working on my own Daft Punk remix. So far, I used a huge 35-minute mix as a base, and cut out the first 20 minutes, added some bass boosts along with other effects, and 2 new tracks onto it. I'll keep working on it.

I've never played a censored game... When I was a kid, my dad would download the original versions of a game (so he could play it, not us...) so we never had to buy them... And now I don't play enough games to use censored ones, unless one of my brother's is censored, but I doubt it. It's infuriating though. They've also censored some stuff in the adult entertainment industry, which is more infuriating than anything else. If a person is an adult, they should be able to watch what they want (obviously within reason, pedophilia is just sick.) without having some jackass saying that it's 'immoral'. Well duh, I'm pretty sure the entire industry is based around immorality. Gosh.

Flea from the Chili Peppers is a Victorian... AC/DC, Silverchair, Savage Garden, The Veronicas, INXS (with Michael Hutchence, naturally) and the Divinyls... We're actually pretty awesome for a country with only 20 million or so people...
