Just wondering if anyone has noticed anything different in the past few weeks.
Something has changed within this community, something annoying has stopped. What do you think it is?

I just fought about it and maybe bots are not as bad as we think. If someone enters "nice girls" on Google, he might be linked here and that guy would discover the Driver series.

I know what I'm saying is stupid. Well it was just a comment .

anyways, visual confirmation was always activated. We always had visual confirmation.

I activated something else where a registered user had to make one legit post and wouldn't be able to post any links into it! that includes pictures, or anything that would have to contain www. / http or .com and other domains like that!

If a user tried to put links it says that cannot go ahead and they must go back and edit all the links out of their post and once they have done a legit post they can go ahead and then make a post with links and images.

and so far no one has posted any obscene content.

Ok, we face our next issue.
At least 7 spam accounts a day are made.
I've just noticed 4spam accounts created in the past half an hour
Our next goal is to hide all users who have made less than one post :S
Because there hoping people go to the user list and click their links!

or just validate them manually. 1 in 70 accounts are real members.

And maybe we should think about something else, that could stop spammers.
For example when you enter you Location and then your Country Flagg, the spammers always use the 1st one. And maybe if they would be like a Google Map thing behind it it could locate the place you wrote in the location field and compare it with the flagg.
Another thing is, as madness sad some months ago, that some of the spammers are real people and paid for registering, so maybe they read this … i mean who know, if they do they can avoid everything we are planning to do.
What we should do is a forum wich only admins and members can read so the spammers can read this only once they have registred. But now we could think they will register twice, so th best thing we could do is a forum (with forum i mean subforum) where you need a special pass and madness could pm it us.

It's pointless having a password when I can allow users with 20 or more legit posts to enter

When people get paid to spam they'll see we stop them spamming links and they just give up and move somewhere else. This has worked however I'm going to work out the next problem.

I'm looking into it and I've got some ideas, I'll apply them soon!
