Listen, man—Moonchild—what sort of process is it by which you go from playing a mission to having a file you can upload for people to watch? If you don’t mind explaining, I mean.

I can briefly answer this question for you.
There are many different ways in which this can be done moonchild could have done it one of the ways I have explained or another way.

First your going to need a PSone and Driver 2.


Then you'll have to find a way to capture driver2 onto the pc. This can be done by using a tvtuner to capture video via. the svideo or av input. Or you can use a dvd recoreder and record your gameplay and put the dvd in your pc and rip it.


then if you used the dvd recorder and ripped it you'll then have the file on your pc to convert to a compressed format if you want. and if your using a tv turner you'll need to use the record button while playing around in the game and then you'll have a file that way.


and that's just about it. I haven't explained it in all that deep detail, but hopefully it's enough for you to understanding the capturing process.

Man, I can’t believe how much space you need for raw, uncompressed video. LOL! That’s cool. It was not easy, but I did it. I don’t mean technically not easy. I mean, it was not an easy decision to uninstall a bunch of WWII stuff to make room to work on ‘Take a Ride’ videos for Driver 2. I freed up like about 11GB of space on the HDD, though (not to mention the whopping 292MB Madness helped me with the other night in that Temporary thingamajig—thanks again, boss). I guess I have enough room now for another DRIV3R install, too, if I don’t get too fancy with these videos. That ought to be simple enough since I don’t know how. LOL! Some dude at some other place says Game Cam doesn’t bog down your rig as much as Fraps, btw. I haven’t tried it.

GameCam is full of bugs and problems and it's that bad I cannot even get it to work. It seems that these days Fraps is an industry standard so I guess it's best to stick with Fraps, the most professional program you can use for doing these sorts of things.

It is also possible for you to work with less space when using driv3r and fraps, what you'd need to do is capture some of the game and then exit the game and compress it with MovieMaker or something and then you get a lot more space.

Also since this place seems to be getting out of topic I'm going to split this thread up once again.

My friend uses GameCam because Fraps doesn't work with his computer, and I think it's fine for him. XD
