Recording with OBS

I have version 1.2 for the PC. I'm trying to record some replays with OBS. All I get is a black screen. Any solutions/ideas appreciated.

I don't know OBS, but why not use Fraps or Bandicam? They also both work with DirectX/OpenGL. And did you ask for help at the OBS forums on how to setup correctly the software, for games?

OBS is so much better than Fraps and Bandicam.

Anyway, it has probably something to do with the game's engine(?) that OBS probably doesn't support. I get the same issue with True Crime New York City, since it's directdraw (so OBS and Steam Overlay don't work with it).
If you know what Driver uses, search for custom OBS plugins around the interwebz.
