It was probably the Renault 5 or the Fiat Panda, I was however most interested in playing the Citroen 2cv back then... until I found out.. they deleted it.

To repeat the same action and expect different results is madness.

Uh, but the front lights and the shape of the Driv3r car totally gives away it's a Challenger rather than a Barracuda. I dunno what you're smoking. Though, it could be a mix of the two.

It's definitely Dodge Challenger 1970. Front and back have been changed. On beta screenshots you can see Challenger from Driver 2. The Tanner's car in first Vegas mission - Dodge Challenger 1970 SE

Just remove car plate and middle of grill - you receive the Challenger
