This looks promising, Dr. Doom. Good luck with it, man.
I hope that what was replaced—the truck driver’s wiki—was abandoned three years ago and not simply completed three years ago. There are a lot of static web pages out there that I have been referring to for years. I also have a dictionary setting next to me that was published two decades ago, but I would hate to see someone come along and toss it in the trash just because it is old.
To be honest, I do not know why a member of this community would create a new version of something that has already been created by another member of this community, instead of offering to help improve what was already there, but whatever.
I suppose that neither of those things is actually my concern, nor within my purview. No offense was intended by the comments.
I feel grateful to Nikusakken, being founder of the Driver Series Wiki at Wikia.com, for being gracious about this development. It is a relief to see Nikusakken offering to work with Dr. Doom in a spirit of cooperation on this, considering the way things often tend to go when such circumstances arise. Mergers are so much more appealing than hostile takeovers that can result in rifts. I think Nikusakken is to be commended for this. Someone pass that man a cigar, please.
I also think Dr. Doom’s new Driver Wiki thing looks nice, for the most part. Not really much of anything at all there yet, actually, reminding me of the time some poor fool at DriverMadness.net got hammered for creating a topic and then leaving it empty (lol). I guess this is more of a case of providing leadership so people have an idea of where to make appropriate contributions. That seems like a good idea, man. Nice organizational skills, to be sure.
I do not believe the red hyperlinks against the gray background work visually, Dr. Doom. Color-wise, it does work. I mean that I cannot read the words. Maybe it is only I, though, who cannot do so. The followed hyperlinks in blue are easy enough to read. In any case, I like the blue and red hyperlinks. The blue reminds me of DRIVER, and the red reminds me of DRIVER 2. Since it is more important to be able to tell what there is yet to see than to be able to read a hyperlink one has already clicked on, what if you switched the colors around so the blue came before the red? That would be reminiscent of the order in which the DRIVER games were released, too; how cool would that be, man? Aw what do I know?
Too bad that place looks like some kind of paperhangers’ convention. Do you get a chunk of the revenue from all that advertising, or is that just the price of rent there? I am one of those people who loathe ads that are situated in the midst of page content, but I guess that is where they are most effectively placed. From what I have read about Wikia.com, that is one of the most common complaints against it—that and their use of strong-arm tactics to assume control of existing wikis, which is beginning to seem like a theme over there.
I took notice of the claim that this Driver Wiki is the official wiki for the DRIVER series of video games, with “the†being in capital letters apparently for added emphasis. I am not sure what exactly qualifies any one game wiki to make that claim, especially since it has just been demonstrated for us how anyone can come along and do that (lol), but good luck with that. Dr. Doom. I also noticed that there are quite a number of DRIVER game wikis online, all of which are, of course, older than one created last week. It looks like a job you can handle, though, Dr. Doom. It would be nice if there was only one place a person had to go over there to learn about all things DRIVER. But I guess this is how it goes. The more, the merrier, right?
Speaking of which, have you guys seen this one?
http://driv3r.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page
Those guys are pretty thorough, having about 140 hundred articles posted since 2007. Very impressive effort on the part of some seemingly dedicated DRIVER wiki authors. The vehicles section is quite nice, I think. They do not use just any old screenshots.

We understand that you are already pretty busy trying to ruin this website. Oh, I am sorry. I thought you wrote 'ruin'.
