As Swine Flu seems to be in topic i shall give you a small update of New Zealand's position and a little other information.

Firstly.

NOTE: SWINE FLU DOES NOT AFFECT PIGS. SO ANYONE AFRAID TO HAM OR BACON ANYMORE DO NOT WORRY IT IS SAFE.

The flu has only affected the animals in Mexico where it started, but from now on it is strictly a human disease that we can't give to pigs, even if we have sex with them. IT IS NOT AN STD. But i wouldn't recommend having sex with someone who has it.

New Zealand Farmers have fought our government to change the name of Swine Flu to something more friendly, as people fear our meat although we can't get sick off it. Government says no though.

The H1N1 virus similar to H5N1 which you may remember as Bird flu, was made when insects with H5N1 came into to contact with the pigs, from then on it spread to humans although i am not sure how.

In New Zealand as of last night we have 4 confirmed cases, 12 probable and over 400 in quarantine. All people here have mild cases of this flu and as of yet deaths are unlikely.

And similar to Nick Brasil, there are cases near where i live, about 15 mins away, however these are merely people in quarantine after returning from Mexico. There are three schools all within 30 mins of mine with suspected cases. And last night my school had it's annual school ball, where students from all of these school were likely to attend and in some cases copulate with students from my school. But as i said it isn't an STD but the excessive breathing on each other during the act is well enough to make each other sick. And yes that does happen at the After ball at least... People doing each other against wall and what not.

So i can expect a torrent of flu coming in my direction tomorrow... YAY!

I however did not go to the ball last night but i expect that Lseven7 did, if any of you remember him. And neither did i sleep with an infected person, but hey there is always next weekend right?

New Zealand also has a prevention method in place at our airports. No we don't get fancy infra-red camera's that show flu like symptoms. but we provide everyone with face masks upon arrival and make people fill out a very detailed form about themselves and where they plan to go. A form that takes so long to fill out that by the time they are finished it is probably as covered with the diseases that the person filling out the form had, and will promptly kill all our airport staffing...

Ahhhhh! I feel safer already!

Yeah i'm freaking back. And hoping to stay around too.

As everyone seems to have trouble with a topic here, why don't i suggest something that i'm sure everyone can relate to.

Aspirations, Dreams, Plans for life, whatever, nothing strict.

Just like an advice center where you don't have to pay attention to others opinions, just like a real family.

Anyway, i'll start the ball rolling for now...

I had always hoped to marry the girl i fell in love with and become a game designer in America or Europe and make tonnes of money each year. One plan went south, guess which...

Well it was a trick question, both did, one did and so did the other, it's a good trick, you can make money of it if you bet someone you hve a certain value of coins, say 30 cents.

Say you have 2 coins and when added together they make a total of 30 cents, and then say one of them ISN'T 10 cents. The trick is, is that the other coin is ten cents and one is a twenty. Bet people they can't figure it out. Good scam.

Anywho...

Now i have moved my focus to studying law and becoming a high powered lawyer heavily influenced by... Alan Shore!

I can see the lawsuits already.

But any way that was just a quick idea, if anyone wants to add, feel free, or if this gave you a good idea of where to go, just run with it. It's gotta be more exciting than the talk you guys are having now.

How old are you?
If you in school and want to get into the artistic game industry.
I would suggest doing subjects like Design, Art and then some technical classes like 3d modeling or at least cad type work.

I'm not sure.
I can give you better ideas, once I know your approximate age.
And of course what position in a game development company you'd be interested in most. eg. programming, art assets.

Tomorrow I get to see a game development company talk about stuff!
I forgot which company, but it's local.

I'm 16 and studying "hard" in Physics, Maths and Further Maths (don't go there), so I would like to get stuck in at the deepish end, ie programming in C++, Obviously my first choice is to be a game designer, at our beloved Ubisoft Reflections (2 miles from my house, woot!), but i would be happy pretty much anywhere as the 4 or 5 game studios in my area all make car games.

Despite this, I am still not sure if I would be better suited elsewhere... The only thing I am certain of is that I want a good gap year off between me leaving Sixth Form (college) and going to University. What is up with you Mr Madness, do you want to get into it aswell? If not, what you doing to fill the time with?
