A couple of weeks ago, I walked past the DVD section at my local video store and noticed they had "Gone in 60 Seconds (1976)" and "Gone in 60 Seconds: Junkman". I decided to purchase both of them on dvd since they were pretty cheap.

I just got finished watching the first one, and it's a pretty good movie. It started off a little slow but as soon as the driving action started I could barely blink.

I would recommend this movie for anyone looking for a good old car chase. This movie had a 40 min chase which was pretty well paced.

I cannot wait until I find enough time to watch "Junkman".

I also herd there was a "Deadline Auto Theft: Gone in 60 Seconds 2", I haven't been able to find this title although I seen it on the official website http://www.gonein60seconds.com

Actually I only ever thought there was the origonal "Gone in 60 Seconds". I was amazed when I seen the Junkman version.

I then read some news that, they were trying to recreate "Gone in 60 Seconds" in 1989 and the creator Heliki died on set.

He was doing such a great job too
I then herd about another remake in 2000 staring Nicholas Cage, and I was looking at the reviews and they've all given the movie a fairly bad rating.

I'm wondering if anyones seen it, and if you think it's worth a watching?

On a side-note, I'm pretty tired when I was typing this so it's bound to have many silly grammatical/spelling errors in it!

You're refering to the 200 remake right? Well, I found it cool. It's not brilliant, but it's good if you have nothing else to watch. And Nicholas (not me ) is a good actor either. Anyways, watch if you want

From the reviews I read the first one only had a eight minurte car chase.
I guess this is because it's much harder to film a car chase these days, as there are so many laws which are so much stricter. I hear about 50 years ago you could drive without a license and the cops wouldn't really care (that'd barly warn you). These days, they'll proably fine you.

Because they had a pretty good car chase...and then the road blows up...Good times, good times...

I've got the 2000 remake on DVD and I love it. Okay it's not the perfect 70s-sytle Hollywood car-chase, but I think the movie is good, I give it 4/5. It's not only the chase action, but also the music, feelings, when they talk, the humour etc. I recommend it anyway.

You should check out the version without Nicholas Cage, it's also got a longer car chase. 40 minutes compared to 8 minutes in the remake.

The movies quite old (1974).
and the non-driving action isn't the greatest.
But once he gets into a car and puts his foot to the petal the fun begins.

Last Friday, I check the Junkman movie.
It's actually not a Gone In 60 Seconds 2, but was made by the same people.

I found the movie alright, but it was nowhere near as good as Gone In 60 Seconds. It's still full of driving action but the camera cuts don't feel as great.

It also got into the Guinness World Records, because it had the most cars and planes destroyed.

There is also a movie after the Junkman called "Deadline Auto Theft".

However it feels like GTA: San Andreas was based on some movie around 1989-1990. It was rated R18+ and had the same style the game had.

There is a GTA Movie . Called Grand Theft Auto, and this is also what GTA stands for . It appeared in the 70s I think.

Cops use that term when someone steals a car; Thats where the name of the game came from.

Gone in sixty seconds was a remake, Chris. That means that the chances of finding the original are incredibly tiny. Like, almost non-existant, unless you have sources.

I haven't found Deadline Auto Theft yet!
It's hard to find in store. I don't think it's available retail yet. But I seen some going around on eBAY for about USD$15. A little too expensive considering how old the film is.

But I haven't been looking.
