What is your most cherished video game memory? Mine is when I used to play Driv3r on the Xbox and I had all my favourite songs using the Custom Sountrack feature. I had old tracks like Kool & the Gang- Jungle Boogie, Duran Duran- Girls On Film, Adamski- Killer oh I used to love hearing those when I was smashing people's cars in Istanbul with the Infinite Mass Mode!

So what is yours? It doesn't have to be your first console, just your most special memory in video gaming.

Best video game moments tend to happen in young age, you know, when you're susceptible to influence and all games seem good. At least for me, games don't impress me as much today (sometimes I wish they did) ..

I was nine, and had borrowed a N64 for the first time, and the game was San Fransisco Rush. My father and I played long into the night (at least it seemed so for a nine-year-old). You could actually choose the colour on your car! You could smash windows! Wow!

Second best must be when playing GTAIII. I had never seen such gorgeous graphics in my life and was stunned. I remember driving that Kuruma down the bridge and taking left for the first time. Coolness.

I have to mention the PSX game Tomba (Tombi) as well. I only had the demo, but it is one of the finest games I've played.

Streets of Rage for the MegaDrive, funky music & some good old arcade style 2D fighting. The original GTA for PS1, wow you can steal cars! lol was amazing back then. Oh and I must not forget Pong for the Atari, think thats the first game I ever played.

See, back in 99, when i first got D1 for PS`1, it took me about a month to figure out if i hit the D-pad, I could do other things other than that same stupid garage mission that I couldnt beat. And following this I think my ost cherished memory is discovering Take A Ride mode in Driver 1. It was a nice sunny day, I dont think I was in school yet, it was around noon. I started TAR mode with San Francisco at day. I played for about 20 mins when grandpops showed up with some fried chicken. Oh yeah. I still havent forgotton that day. 8) =)

Another one for me would be playing Driver Parallel Lines in 2006 and always listening to Thunder In My Heart Again by Meck. Hearing that song again reminded me of that!

I don't think i've ever had an amzing memory from playing a video game, i can play something and think "Holy Crap theis game is AMAZING" but i have never really been moved emotionally by a game, nothing that made me say, this is my best moment ever.

My best moments these days, i have to say come from music, and until 3 years ago, i hated music, it annoyed me, but now i can listen to a song and really get into the song, it can either make me play a game better or it can make me break out in tears for no reason, they just make me emotional.

That is why i never play a game now without listening to some of my music, they certainly make my gaming experience what it is today. So really, i have to thank music for bringing me the best moments of my video game playing history.

But i think when i get my PS3 next year sometime, that will be a big moment for me. I still haven't even touched a PS3 controller to this day. Let alone played a PS3.

I bought that game after playing it at a friends house, but my PC wasn't good enough to run it, so i had to get rid of it.

My most cherished video game memory? Beating Driver 2. I beat over 1/2 of it in one day. I went from the 4th mission of Havana to the end. I beat it during my Spring break. I woke up one morning and decided to beat Havana to go to Vegas. I couldn't stop playing it. When I got to the mission before Chase The Gunman, I got mad. It took me forever to beat. Then when I did beat that job, I think I got the least tries (jk) for Chase The Gunman (75 tries). When I beat it, I was so happy, it was ridiculous.
God, I am so glad I beat that game.

Mine would have to be from when I was a kid, with the Nintendo!!! Me and my sister used to play Supersmash Bros all the time! As well as Yoshi!!! I loved Yoshi so much!!! But he's so much worse on Playstation...
Gotta say Kirby too...Just because it was the first game I ever played:p

I loved Halo too, but I think Yoshi beats Halo...

My most cherished video game memory was when I played :specialdriver: Driver for the first time when I was 3 years old(I could barely play it at the time).

And you posted in it after 5 months from chris' post. Then it was you who bumped it.
That's exactly what I said. I had reported him for it, since he reported me for no f***ing reason.

Are we done, ladies? I'd hate to break up such a wonderful discussion, but read the topic.

Postaldude: No. Just... No.

Chris: No-one wants you to kill yourself. Postaldude is what we in Australia refer to as 'a wank'. And I am not an asshole. I'm normally pretty nice... Normally. Not right now. Right now I'm suffering extreme withdrawal, so I'm in one of those "destroy the world moods".
Would 'wank' be counted as a dirty word, btw? Hope not...
Moving on.
Chris, don't be a drama queen. There's only room for one pms-ing woman around here, and that position has been filled.

Now, back to our topic please.

Dunno about someone being a wank, but calling someone a wanker is ample to get you arrested  , especially if they are a police officer man! I didn't know where to put this dso here will do,

Video game memories, that one level of the original doom where you enter a building and its all quiet but then when you round the stairs, you enter a night club and music pounds as hundreds of creatures limp towards you trying to rip you limb from limb, ahh, I loved doom and how it made me sh*t my 10 year old self!

Hmmm...

Video game memories:

-Probably playing DRIVER 2 in my cousins house one night, we must have been playing it for 4 hours at least.
-Getting DRIV3R in the post and then starting it up and thinking, Christ, these graphics are amazing.
-Playing FIFA 2002 World Cup on PS1, I used to get up at like 6 in the morning and play it before school, was sh*t at it for the first 3 months, used to just hoof the ball up the pitch and hope for the best.

And I wouldn't really say that I've cherished video game memories, they're just memories.

I mean, none of my cherished memories would be to do with video games. These are just moments that stand out.

Really? Damn. Maybe Australians are just more relaxed about everything?!

I remember that scene too. And the one in Duke Nukem with the strip club. But you guys might be too young to remember that one :(

Yea, Police men will arrest you if you are abusive and use such profanities, but generally only if you have done something else. At least no cops in the world are as bad as Driver's, where if you pang someones car, they will mosh you into oblivion! Was Duke Nuke 'em before Doom? I don't have a clue about it as, well, obviously I never played it as a child!
