Discussion for Driver: Parallel Lines (2006)

I just found something secretly hidden in an image located in the root directory of every Driver: Parallel Lines PC Installation.

The file is called "DriverParallelLines-MCE.png"

Earlier today I decided to play around and study some dpl images and suddenly come across a strange and weird discovery. There is a word lightly hidden in the tire, barely viewable with the naked eye on a standard 100% zoom, so no one could notice it unless they zoomed in and searched really hard.

I decided to use some photoshop filters to be able increase darker un-viewable segments and display them with thicker lines, I thought the "Glowing Edges" would work best and it did.

Attached is the standard image, a modified image with the glowing edges filter and another filter which I used to enable better viewing of this hidden piece of text.

I hope you enjoy my discovery and I hope we make many more discoveries. Our next mystery is working out why reflections would put this piece of hidden text in the image if they knew we couldn't really see it unless we opened it up with a separate application and started zooming in and adding filters and such.

LOL ! Maybe is something about the next Driver. Try to search in other Drivers. And I can't search because I don't have Photoshop.

Looks like it may be possibly a real photo. Otherwise, as you mentioned, there would really be no objective in hidden artwork if the viewer can't normally see it. The level of detail disclosed in "filter 2", especially the brake mechanism is more than required for artwork.
I'm not aware of any tire with "SPEEDSTER" on it but who knows?

No. The MCE is for the Media Center Edition versions of Windows, like I have. When you open Media Center, that MCE "word" adds the game to Media Center, so you can play the game from Media Center. That image is the icon for the shortcut in Media Center. I'll post a pic tomorrow.

No, images.drivermadness.net isn't up!
and you cannot see what I was talking about!
There was a hidden message in the image, which is that faint you only see it properly when you enhance it's visibility in photoshop.

Well yeah, it's for the MCE version of the game.
When you add the game to the list, but I wasn't talking about 'MCE'.
There is a hidden word on the tire of the vehicle in the image.

Huh, I didn't read it very thoroughly. I'll try this in Photoshop tomorrow.
