I am in the process of compiling ALL of the player car textures that are found in Driver, and posting them here in one huge picture (And if requested, small texture blocks). Here is a preview:

AND YES, civilian cars will be included (but at a much later date).

I plan on having a big ass 2048 X 2048 texture block filled up with the textures, and YES! This includes the beta textures. And you guessed it, DAMAGE!

Regarding civilian cars:

I will post EVERY palette available, which means you have more colors to choose from! yay! This will include damage as well.

This is going to be a pretty f***ing big project, but it's well worth it my friends.

Well, since Dr.DOOM is busy (even, who isn`t) I had a small free time, and decided to find out these texture myself. In hour or two I get this:

Know it? Doom already posted it, but I`d decided to make it myself (training, in some way :lol:).
And as extra, I`ve found 2 or 3 more unused colours of it!

Also I`m posting here, a full version of the legendary yellow buick (I like it even, more than the crappy blue Skylark :))

So, I can continue to re-search more textures like these using PSXVRAM. All I need is - savestates like the one, Maverick posted. Then, the rest... will be my job. Please, someone if can, to send me a PM with these savestates, I need.

I occasionally try to extract textures from PS1 levels, and have just barely started to have some success with a few. It's in no order for actual extraction though, as I've only just started to figure out the PS1 level file format. Good work on getting them out so far though,looking forward to seeing some more :) .

Thanks! I originaly need them, for a replacement mod for traffic cars and player (Driver mod for MM2).

Also I`ve interesting thing - most of these textures you can get when you are on these co-ordinates:
  • from position: 512, 0 - 384 to 896, 0 - 384
  • from clut 960,257 to clut 1008, 371
As well, if you follow both 960, 976, 992 and 1008 lines, from the start to end line, is possible to get each of them :)

That means that this

"Palette block" contains all needed palettes, to get textures correctly. But it`s just a theory, which I only tested on Maverick`s savestate.

Also I`m thinking of simple program, that just reads these coordinates for a savestates, and simply, you can browse though them, easily.

All I need is to know how to get these savestates. Can anyone explain it to me? I tried with EPSXE, but nothing than black/white line happens. Thanks.

I just figured out how to do it properly, and here is it!

I USED EXACTLY THE SAME PARAMETERS! Which means, that is possible the beta buick and the final one to be using the same model, or texture placement, same as the traffic and cop cars :shock:
