Driver: San Francisco looks all right. The Shift feature in and of itself is pretty neat, but it feels outta place in a Driver game. I mean, is this Driver or is it Second Sight?

One great thing about the game is: 74...Dodge...Friggin'...MONACO!!!!!!!!!!

From I seen at E3, I thought this looked crap.

Personally, I ALWAYS wanted on-foot and weapons, thats the major disappointment, but THE thing that makes this game seem crap to me is SHIFT.
I know, he's in a coma, he can do ''anything'' but its not that its unrealistic, its that it seems, well, for want of a better word, sh*t.
I never even cared about Director.

Although, from other peoples opinions and some reviews, it's growing on me.
Although, I really hope it isn't just like the Wheelman.

Also, where are you all getting it from that we can't run over pedestrians?
Surely it's impossible to stop us if we're in a car.

And also, maybe the demo we were shown at E3 only contains the few licensed cars that they are allowed to show as they haven't announced all of the cars that will feature.
Maybe the final game will feature normal cars, they just haven't been announced yet.

I do hope that it isn't only ''cool'' cars all over the place.

And what I REALLY want to know is, where is the Massey? :D

Yeah, I agree about the on-foot thing. However, to me, Driver has always been about driving, so I think on-foot should be de-emphasized rather than excised. Heck, the driving to me is what sets Driver apart from GTA. I've played games from both series & to me, Driver's cars seem to handle better & they seem more solid, which makes for better car chases. In GTA, cars feel more lightweight & will blow up after only so many crashes, which makes them feel more disposable.

Also, here's an interesting bit about RUFs since PostalDude mentioned it: Allegedly, modded Porsches such as RUFs, Gemballas & others are used in video games instead of regular Porsches because the license for the use of Porsches in video games is prohibitively expensive.

I heard somewhere that it was because EA had made an exclusive deal with Porsche. But I don't know though, as it seems that Porsche cars are on Forza 3.

The shittiest thing in this game in my opinion is the Shift ability and the supercars, not ordinary cars (it's good to see cool cars but i don't like to see cool cars everywhere, it seems like you drive in a arabian city like Dubai) , seems that the cars will have less damage according to the gameplay videos (but the game is unfinished yet so they can change things)
Martin said that they only included iconic cars ( i don't think that some european cars are iconic, like Alfa Romeo Mito or a Alfa 8C Competizione)

Yeah, I agree that the traffic should be a mix of automotive legends & common daily drivers, though the automotive icons shouldn't be insanely rare, either. I mean, I've spent countless hours trying to find a damn Zenda in Parallel Lines & I've given up trying to go any further in the game because of it.
