Hello and welcome to Driver Madness tizerist.

Changing camera positions is usually modified using a technique called "Memory Hacking". Unfortunately there haven't been any pro-memory hackers around the community therefor no one has developed a tool yet.

I made a request for a tool similar to the ones available for GTA III, VC and SA. To "Racer_S" over at tocaedit.com but never received a response. Without the film director a camera hacking tool would be so amazing to create some nice video clips.

I sent this e-mail mid 2007 and never received a response.
madness wrote:Hello,

I'd have to say I was a big fan of your Camera Hack that you made for many of those games it was very helpful in creating videos for many projects I have started up. Then I noticed you expanded its use to some NFS games and Flatout 2. I guess you can do this with every game with the ability to edit the pos via a memory hack. But you don't because it takes up so much time.

I'll start off by saying the main purpose of this email is a camera hack request for an upcoming pc title "Driver: Parallel Lines". Unfortunately this is one of the only driver games without the "Film Director" feature making it impossible to make great movies and video clips with the in game elements but a camera hack application will fix all of that up..

Now I'm not quite sure how you work on making camera hacks for games but I believe that this would be another great game to build a camera hack for probably because it's one of those free form games which enable you to do loads of things with all those damage models and everything.

I could ramble on for another year telling you why I'd like to see a camera hack for Driver: Parallel Lines but to keep things short I'm hoping you'll be able create a application which enables the camera to be hack in Driver: Parallel Lines and if it becomes very popular you can always expand the application.

If you have any doubts about spending so much time on creating a camera hack for Driver: Parallel Lines please say so and I'll just email you some content from previous driver games and from the driver: parallel lines trailers to inspire you. Since lots of amazing things can be done in the game and so many people have been creating videos from the game.

Either way please tell me weather you're interested or not.

Regards,

Driver Madness
Feel free to re-use it if you want to ask again, I'd love to see a camera hacking application to make trailers similar to those that reflections made with their tools.

thanks madness, i suspected as much.

i can vouch that the 'camera hack final' for flatout 2 is an absolute monster, allowing the game to be played in micro machines-esque fashion and adding god-knows onto play time. its wicked!

ah well.

BTW, what camera mod were you referring to for GTA SA?
Can you link it for me please?

Am i even allowed to admit liking SA here lol.

Yeah, I want the same experience with Driver: Parallel Lines.
I was thinking about getting "Flatout 2" to try this tool with a different form of driving game but it too expensive to buy at the moment. Hopefully it becomes a ($10) budget title soon.

I only tried it in III and Vice City.
I don't remember trying it in San Andreas.

But I'm sure there is a tool which is available here.
