Just to discuss the "pulled by a rope" a.i. it used.
For instance: the cops who keep running in objects, walls etc.

I do wonder how and why there was so much more worse cop A.I in Driver 2. It also was way more agressive.

Agressive? Only in Havana and Rio, they didnt respond that fast in Chicago and Vegas. But anyway when they did respond they just ran blind after you, ignoring all objects. Maybe that that answers your question a bit?

Well, that could be it. It would have been pretty amazing if they would have dodged them damn poles and cars. Unable to make some good replays in Driver 2. I needed in chicago to keep driving forward for 10 seconds, turn right and drove like for another 10 seconds and i lost the cop in getaway mode. It's just sad.

The ai of the cops is laughable but when you need to pursuit someone in a mission (1 where you need to run down a truck which trows explosives, chase the gunman etc) then it's freaking hard.
