That patch was probley for the old version if you have the new version it's probley already patched, and there also probley many different editions getting around of the game to, like US ones and Euro ones this could be a cause of many reasons.

The disk is read-only data it can't be affected expecially if it worked before. Getting an exhange shouldn't really do anything unless you get an updated version with the newer copy of that game.

Never, you don't have to purchase another one.

I suggest you have to reinstall DRIVER however you can paste a file I'll be uploading soon to the main directory of DRIVER and that should fix this cd issue.

the game runs fine but there is no music

. what is the problem? of course music is not more important than game!

where did you get the game, did you download it from Direct2Drive or something? because some versions of the game dosen't come with the music expecially the ones that come of some of the magazines, they also don't even come with the FMVs, since they are ment to run of the CD.

So if you put the game in a CD player and track 2 and above you can hear music it's a wonder why it dosen't work in Windows XP, but as I said put the CD in a music player and listen to it.

My god... I didn't remember that this CD does not contain music files (I do not know)... I found another CD with music files. So the problem solved...

yeah, there are that many versions of the original driver out there you'd probley installed it with one cd and it couldn't understand the other.

I don't even know why UBISOFT hasn't released the game as a free download yet. I mean that it has been put on magazine cd's for free and has been given out as promotions in game stores for DRIV3R, I wonder why they haven't made a free download able version.

Well the cd still costs money to produce.

In this case it was the first issue of the magazine and the only reason I subscribed to it is because I thought it was going to come with a free cd every month, but when I got the next issue it never come with a cd it just come with the magazine it's self.
