Here's a thread I should like to link to in my video posts so ppl can give feedback on how well embedded videos and video downloads are functioning. Anyone should feel free to use this thread to tell what kind of video download performance results they are getting from any Driver video, not just mine.

Just list the following as well as any other pertinant info about your Driver video download experience.

1) Where the video is hosted, ei: DriverMadnesss.net, Google Video, etc. (the latter for videos embedded in posts here, please)

2) How large the video file is

3) Your Internet connection speed

4) How long the video took to download or begin playing after clicking the PLAY button

5) How much lag you experienced during the video (was it smooth or choppy?)

Video: embedded Google Video: Vegas Jump Run

My Internet connection speed: 6Mbps

File size: I don't know. It was a 122MB video that Google converted to a Flash video, I guess. It's about 15min 30sec in length.

Buffering time: It took about 6 or 7 seconds, but the file was probably already in my memory cache or whatever because I clicked it open from my Google Video account just before I logged in here, so I probably can't give a reliable report there just now, and since then no Google videos anywhere that I can see are playing, so I can't check again yet. I don't really know how that stuff works or what I'm talking about there. When I first went to that Google video web page the video started playing immediately for me, though.

Latency during playback at DM.net: none (The video itself is a little like that, going back to how well Fraps recorded it to begin with while I was playing the game.)

Would you recommend this restaurant to others: That's not one of the questions.

Would you recommend this movie: Hell yah, I made it. But get it from the downloads section at DriverMadness.net once it gets posted there. That will look cooler.

Boss, could you delete this entire thread thing?

Originally the idea was to keep a lot of text from cluttering up the threads of topics with embedded videos while still providing a place for feedback that might be useful in figuring out how to upload videos that would represent the best compromise in quality vs speed for persons with slower Internet connections. But I guess that

This post is alright, compared to some other things others have posted over the past.
Plus, it's in the general section :)

On the deletion note, all posts except spam posts. Never get deleted they go in a secret location that only I can access for archival purposes. So I can always go back and have a laugh at all those bizzare silly odd stupid strange things driv3rdood posted back in those days.

I've never really belieaved in deleting something in which effort has been put into creating it. Who knows maybe some day you may want me to put the post back up for one reason or another and I'll be able to easily put it back up :)

I'm not sure how you could call yourself an embarrisment, not even close.
You've brought a lot of interesting things to this community.

remember... driv3rdood who you seem to call driv3rboob , lol :)
well he is an embarrisment, and anyone else who joins this forum who hates the driver series.

Anyways, once you've read through this post, respond verfiying that you want this post removed and I'll remove it to that secret location.
