Well... if he was refering to it as the Brazilian Portuguese, then fine. The Brazilian Portuguese is pretty different from the European Portuguese. Similiary to the differences between the American and British English.

Oh, I forgot about East Temor, in Asia. They speak Portuguese there as well!
