Everyone now knows that points have been disabled for the general and other games sections.

Now this is just fine, but alot of useful information goes into the general area, and i think it should atleast be couted in the points sysytem, i mean, look at some of the posts in the general section, just becasue they are not driver related doesnt meant they are not useful, and havng it so that users dont get points in general deforms one main reasson for having it and that is to see how much one user contributes to the forum, so vote on what you think.

Really it should have just stayed the way it had been, with topics that didnt need points like my Word Game topic should just stay in the no post counted area.

I've mentioned this before and I'll mention it again in a little more detail.
The points system is designed to reward people for contributing to the driver series in anyway, and the forums that don't earn you points at the moment have nothing to do with the driver series.

I've taken this action to get a lot more driver content into the forums as almost 22% of posts seem to be unrelated to the driver series.

This may not be the largest sum however this is a driver community and I'm making sure this community meets it's point in being a Driver Community.

I don't really have anything against people posting unrelated things but I'm trying to make sure users post driver related things more.

Ok, so basically I'm just trying to keep the forums full of Driver Content and the points system was always about contributions to the driver series and posting topics about things unrelated to driver shouldn't count.

Sometimes I do think it should be activated in that area as sometimes people do post driver related content in there. But it wasn't designed for driver topics. As that all goes in other forum areas.

I hope you all understand why we have taken this measure.

the simple answer to that is to post in the Driver related forums.
and if your interested in contributing to the driver stories thread that earns you points to so maybe you could continue one of the already existing stories.
