Does anyone else think the gameplay looks like midnight club LA? Does it use the RAGE engine or something?

Martin Edmondson said that they've built their own engine starting with nothing, he also said that they hadn't used any third party engines to develop the game.
Yeah, it reminds me a bit Midnight Club LA

It just has a comparable art style so aesthetically it has similarities to MCLA but that's about it, gameplay's obviously different because well, Driver isn't a game about street racing.

On a small note its funny how at about the 5:40 mark when the Shift feature is shown the crap host tries to make a joke about choosing the Neon and Martin just ignores and talks right over him lol. You don't try and interrupt the man!

Welcome to the forum , i've seen you on YouTube, you have really cool vids, especially i like the Driver evolution, from the first to Driver Parallel Lines

Yeah,it looks very similar, even the graphic engine have similarities with Driver SF(in my opinion, but in Driver SF the background is a bit more brighter, like in NFS Most Wanted or Undercover)
