Specs.....GTX 670, I7 3770k, 8gb DDR3 RAM and W7 64 bit Home Premium......contain your jealousy please.

DaRkProDucTioNs00 wrote:I'm building have the following specs: AMD FX 9370 8 core overclocked to 5GhzDon't get a AMD if it's just because it has a faster GHZ processor speed. AMD isn't true to the speed show. You'll probably find a 3Ghz Intel is equivalent to a 3.5Ghz AMD. I'm only guessing, but I am sure Intel is better than AMD from the benchmarks I've seen
The AMD FX CPU's have many cores, which are weaker. But it's only my opinion, I guess it dosen't matter too much.
intel i5's have less cores, which are stronger.

madness wrote:No. The AMD FX 9370 8 core is very powerful, and suits my 3D animating better because of the excessive amounts of cores. Although each processor brand and model deals with code and polygons all different, I've done plenty of research and found the AMD FX8350 was a match, so I went over to the fastest and newest version to ensure full quality. Also, more cores isn't weaker LMAO!!!! Why would we put so many cores in processors if its pure crap!? No. SINGLE core processors are CRAP. The LESS cores a processor has, the more it struggles with advanced tasks (GTA IV and 3D animation for example) So just to let you know, the more cores, the better performance and better a processor handles multi tasking and difficult processes. Playing Next Car game or BeamNG on a single core Pentium 4 isn't going to happen. BUT, a quad core (if 8 core existed on the Pentium then that would be FAR better) would play the game at any setting. So if the Inel Core I7 had 8 cores, it would be the strongest processor on the face of the earth. Also I must add in, I have to do overkill, because of the animations I will make in the company I will start. Animations that are difficult to tell apart from reality. NO cartoons. Why do you think almost no one uses a single core Pentium 4 anymore?DaRkProDucTioNs00 wrote:I'm building have the following specs: AMD FX 9370 8 core overclocked to 5GhzDon't get a AMD if it's just because it has a faster GHZ processor speed. But if you want the best from watch dogs best to get a nvidia GPU.
Also I would recommend not going for too expensive and getting something high end but not overkill. Like I find using SLI graphic is a bit of a waste. But if you can get the best of the single stuff that would be ideal.
I'm also thinking maybe you should wait until DDR4 ram comes out.
I haven't researched desktops in a while, so I'm a little rusty![]()
Need any laptop recommendations I should be alright. I'm thinking about upgrading soon and have been looking around.
WhiteSnoop wrote:I must correct you there, laptops can be equivalent to desktops BUT. A $500 laptop will be far less powerful in specifications then a tower of the same price. Laptops can be the same, their just more expensive, are normally given barley any video memory, and are not good with handling heat.CarLuver69 wrote: Laptops are the way to go. I bought my Desktop a month before my laptop.
Can say that the laptop is really outdated, can't run sh*t (compared to desktop)
I never recommend people a laptop for gaming. Only question I ask is: Do you internet? Do you use word?
Good take a laptop!
You want to do more with your workflow? Get a desktop
I know allot of people buying new laptops so they can run the newest games. I can surely say they've spent atleast double the amount they could've spared with buying just a Desktop RIG with the same price.
You get better performance. Fact.
Don't get me started on laptop harddrives. They are the scum of all harddrives. Best to ignore them.
I had to upgrade to an SSD to get a fast feeling on a laptop. I don't really need one in my pc (altho I do have)
Performance wise, which one do you take?
A Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini? or a Samsung Galaxy S3?
Yeah I got the S3 Mini, and its like a laptop. High expectations, high price. mediocre performance
