If anyone ever been taking a look over them. Just opened both Driver PSX`s first Beta miami.lev file and PC`s miami.lev file:

What I just noticed - PSX level file starts with image data in header, while PC level starts with geometry data. By far, I think we have few options:
1. Adjust DTE to open them. It`s the harder option.
2. Manual edit and move the geometry data in header, to make it readable with DTE. May require edting of the d3d file, too.

I think that these commands are connected with some objects/cameras/operations in lev file, and with scripts. I talk about 'trigger sooner/later' commands.

About another TEXTS, it looks like lang file, indeed.

10 bucks says the format is same to PC`s levels, but in different order (textures in header, geometry data in end). Unlike Driver2 levels, which are heavily compressed.

Interesting thing in first Driver Beta Demo level is the fact, it`s using again unnamed models, and named one these which are used (e.g. Player cars). Noticeable here is TORINO, PONTIAC, PLAYERCAR2CLEAN and PICKUP names which refer to their early beta models. Surely, if we get a hold over this format, we will finally have absolute Driver Modifying.

It`s just containing so much beta stuff that I can`t wait to see these loaded in DTE2.

If you open PC .lev file with MS Word or another text editor, you get something similar.

Yep, same is in HEX Editor, too, except it displays spaces as â–¡ sign ;)

Now.. I really hope Jeff would see this and try to do something. Will be really great to see these levels opened in DTE, by far Driver Texture Editor even handles iPhone .lev format :o
