Personally, I've watched American news broadcasts, and I think the majority are full of sh*t... I mean, most TV stations are skewed to a certain point (here in Australia, it's generally whoever's in power... ), but the American ones confuse me. They make everything they disagree with sound horrible, and everything they agree with sound like sunshine and candy... It's rather strange.
I've also seen Americans views on Australian things, and honestly that just pisses me off. Anyone remember the sh*t about Australia culling off kangaroos? Someone from Good Morning America called it barbaric, when they're actually pests, that need to be removed. It's normal for us to do it. We're one of the few countries to eat our national animal (fun fact!).

But eh. How was everyone's Halloween? Costumes? I went as Little Red Riding Hood ;)

And finally... This may be a strange/insulting question, but is there another girl here? Either I'm (finally) not alone, or a new guy has a very odd name... :p
Yeah, I don't really watch that much American news but from what I've seen the presentation is rubbish. The presenters seem to almost shout and look straight into the camera which I think is kinda weird, and also, how are you supposed to read ALL of those tickers at the bottom, one, I think MSNBC has like 3 or 4.

The most we have in Ireland/UK is one.

Yeah, but the scores on Sky are useful. LOL

How many points the ISEQ or the FTSE or the Dow Jones has increased by is just boring to me.

Tha Vic shall persvere!!

Well, went back 2 da spillway today.. buut this time wasn't as fun. Rained 3 days ago and a lot of areas were too muddy to go to. Took a long time 2 find somewhere 2 play around at.

So other than killing a lot of time looking for a nice sandy spot, things didn't start off well..

Unfortunatley, first, I lost control in a turn and slammed into a huge puddle. the impact was so hard that i managed 2 push thru the puddle (resulting in me NOT getting stuck) however, i lost both the centercap & the trim ring on the driver's side rear rim. We found the trim ring, it literally spilt IN HALF, clips still on tha rim. The centercap is MIA, after searching in the mud for a while, we called it quits.

^^ YES, that's the bigg azz puddle we went into.. we were going so fast we pushed right thru. the marks coming out of the puddle are where we came out at.. WHOO... that was scary

sooo it wuz a little dirty after that x)
Image

but things got worse. We decided to look for a spot to have some fun but, in the midst of attempting a U-turn... it happened..

I felt the wheel hit the mud and hit the brakes, but it wuz just too late. the car slid on down deeper into the mud and that's all she wrote. I tried to get out and we pushed back about a foot, but after that the back wheel was just caked in too bad..

left it there, walked about a mile and we saw a truck coming, we flagged him down, he agreed to help us. he took us back to my car and thank god i always keep a pull-out cable in my car .. he hooked it up, pulled me right out. Nice dude, I tried to tip him but he wouldnt take my money, just as any good semaritan...

soo, as the sun began to set and i held my head down low.. i decided to end the say right, and hooked a whole bunch donuts. What can i say man... ? Tha VIC WILL PERSEVERE!!!!!!!!!!!!

...Here hookups mean something else. I think I'll use the word connection instead... Lol.
Although, my hookups have good connections... lmao
I won't say what my connections can get me. I'd never use them, because it's not my thing, but they offer, which is nice... I think... :/
Cookies to anyone who can guess what I can get/get done. Lol. There's a lot. They're really good connections.... lmao.
And I guess one of my connections got me my new job... Same one almost cost me my new job in the same breath though... "Yeah, Ash does heaps of that stuff! Hates ____________ though!" Jerk!

Yeah, we have one too.... I think. I've never seen more, except when I was watching Fox News and CNN for the election updates... Not this years, I was busy, but the last one. Bush out, Obama in...

Well, a 'hookup" has a different definitition 4 sho but a having hookups can mean anything.. ghudd or bad.. in this case it was good.

THing is tho, i never took the Vic in for that free wash. I washed it myself the next day at work, I washed it real good. took 3 hours, but those hours flew past. Got her nice & clean, cleaned out the engine bay, cleaned off the undercarriage, tried to wash off and smash off all the lose dirt and caked mud. It's almost spotless now, but there are hints of mud still in the rocker panels and stuff. o well. its gonna b there for a while. Also the inside is extremely dirty on the drivers side front, since i got stuck and my shoes got REAL muddy.. u can imagine.

sorry no pix of tha Vic lookim good. am just 2 damn lazy. If i ever host them tho ill post em here.

Seriously? I mean.... Seriously?
To be honest, I don't have a car. I'm a pretty bad driver (granted, I've had three lessons, and now my dad won't let me near his car :( ) and I'm too poor at the moment to buy a car, but even if I did, I'd probably be washing it once a month, because, you know, I have a life and all.
Or, like, take it through a carwash... But again, don't have a car.
Although, if it were a nice car... Image then I'd wash it, like, everyday. Lol

Why does everyone look at me like I'm weird or something when I tell them I spend two hours washing my car every sunday? I guess some people don't understand the concept of owning a car...it saves you money that gets wasted at the car wash and YOU'RE in charge of how the car gets washed. I used the car wash once and that was it.

for one thing most of Australia is underwater restrictions so its in-practical to wash every sunday, second WTF waxing every week, do you understand the idea of waxing??? seriously, it could do more harm then good. well not harm but trust me, you only need to wax about every 2 months

I give my car a super nice wash every 2 months or so. unless of course i get it real dirty somehow (Cough, last like the pics show on da previous page) then I wash it again.

Waxing every week isnt really a great thing to do, and if you use a good brand of wax (Read: Mothers) you should be able to see water bubbling on it for months from one wax. But hey man, its your car . do what you like. i think its just good to see that some people still really take care of their cars. I keep my car well maintenenced and etc; washing every week aint gonna happen. strictly cuz my car's a boat. (:

harlequin: Id never, EVER take my car to a carwash. I dont have any money really, im broke as a joke, but i still shell out to keep my car mainteneced and clean. Those carwash machines are bad for your car, those flap thingies destroy your paint - and even though i dont really care about my paint (ie : rocks hitting it while doing donuts and drifts & chit) id like to make it last as long as i can. & guess what, I have a life too; still though, i wash on sunday or saturday at work every few months just to keep it nice - its just what I do
Btw: nice ferrari

It's my dream car.
And like BB said, we have killer water restrictions. We live in a city that gets very little rain and is in permanent drought status. Once summer hits (God, kill me now), we can do very little. Right now we can wash cars (ourselves) every other week. In a couple of weeks, it'll be less. It's not possible for people (without mass amounts of money) to be able to afford to wash their own car.
Plus, by carwash, we have two different ideas. The carwash thing I was talking about is a place near my house that uses recycled water, and cleaning products, and you wash it by hand. I don't really like carwash machine things...
And the reference to the life thing was that I'd never be able to do it every weekend. My social calender is a little full... And work.

And this has been covered by everyone else, but I like to reiterate :) You wax too much. If you do it properly, you shouldn't even be able to do it every weekend. It'd leave a film. And if you did it properly, you'd only have to do it like once a month... If that.
