I'm gonna dress up in an army uniform, get an airsoft gun, hide in the foliage, wait 'till some kids pass by, and then jump out & yell "FREEZE!"

I just sit out in a home-made scarecrow costume and sit. Once I didn't even move while my mom had a conversation with some lady. I managed to scare her by simply yelling "I SURE AM SCARY"

Well, airsoft guns are required to have an orange tip, so I'm not sure that people are likely to mistake it for the real thing.

i have airsoft guns without orange tips, quite a few actually. even with an orange tip it CAN be mistaken for a real weapon. Ive seen it happen personally.. so i know for fact!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

the ak did not. The sub-machine gun they had did. dont know the details for the smg, but i know it had a big azz orange tip. They let them go, but not before they were cuffed, stuffed in the back of a jefferson parish sheriff's car, and questioned heavlily. not to mention the weapons were confiscated and they got in a shitttt loadd of mess.
