Curse my country's insistance at remaining a "dependant" country! I want another day off! Sure, Labour Day is only a month away, but it's still a month away! And then there's nothing until Christmas!

Glad you enjoyed Independence Day Nick. Was there much of a celebration in the way of pretty fireworks? I know that the US Independence Day is a big deal, but I don't know much about other places :(

We just had Labor Day weekend over here.

Good thing = My 16th birthday in October, Thanksgiving in November, so I'm pretty good until Christmas :)

Well, in some other places there were some events and etc. It's funny that almost no one knows the Independence Anthem. Now the next Holiday related to the Independence is in November 15, when Brazil became a Republic (of corrupts).

Lol, good thing Derek. Shame that we don't a Thanksgiving day here.

Hah. Don't worry..

But yeah, It's great, we only get like a day or two off.. but Thanksgiving rocks! Lol it's like a Pre-Christmas-Vacation to get is ready for Christmas break. Not to mention I live in New Orleans, when Mardi Gras comes around we get 4 days off for that too!

WhooO!

...I agree. I love waffles. When I was 15, I spent ten days in L.A. I had waffles everyday for breakfast... It was brilliant.

So lucky :( We have the Sydney Mardi Gras, but no-one gets a day off for it... Too bad, otherwise I'd be there in an instant :D

Yes, it's very psychedelic. Some scientists say that they gave LSD and Ecstasy to it. Other say that it's a radiative contamination. Either way, they say that it's very tasty.

I have to do a report for school based on a single event in my life, so I'm going to write about last summer, since that's when the basement flooded, and I lost my room.

NOTE: by flood, it means the I lost everything up to my floor, which was about 6 inches up, so I reallyonly lost my floor and a single book, but I was out of my room for 3 months while everything was fixed up.

Damn, I am lucky to live on a hill, so only my garage gets flooded, did it get any of the rest of your house?

Only the basement, although we could have gotten it fixed up much sooner, but we waited while the entire district was flooded (we weren't the only ones afffected) and we couldn't get the basement flood-proofed till July 31st, and we were flooded on June 8th

I perfer not to look into the past. You don't see me saying "Oh today is the anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, lets talk about it all day!"

I said a private prayer. What more do you want?

Haven't forgotten. But haven't said anything for the same reason I won't say anything on October 12th or December 26th or February 7th. It's a horrible thing that happened, but if you dwell on the past, you'll never move forward.

Yes, it was a horrible event. But it's past event. Maybe we should start giving more attention to things that affects our lives in a daily basis, like murder and rape, right?

I thought the same thing!

In response to the Doc, because right now, I'm a little more worried about my report than an 8-year-old event.

Mmm, 8 years since some dudes realised flying a plane is harder then Flight Simulator! But RIP an all that, but I still find it funny that people make all this fuss about the 9th of November, I mean wtf happened then?

Harlequin, that is a nice pm! And speaking of knobs, has anyone (u guys in the US) got any wierd spin on Obama's attempt to blatantly copy of National Health Service?

Nobody mentioned it in school either. Nobody cares anymore. America is so dumb and forgetful...
