Ok, this is a nice mod for GTA San Andreas, but it will also work with other games. I tested it in Driver Parallel Lines and Driv3r. Here are the results:

It's just a *.dll file which you must copy into the game's directory. After the first start, there will be a new *.ini file in the same folder. There you can configurate some effects. More on this website: http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/

It didn't work for Driv3r.

It's in my post above. ;)

What I forgot to say: You will need a graphic card which supports ShaderModel 3.0 and a very powerful PC. I could only play with 5 FPS on my laptop (Core2Duo CPU and a DirectxX 10 graphic card by Nvidia).

There is a config file where you can edit the parameters. So it should be no problem to improve it.

I don't know, but look at the last picture. Maybe it's a problem with my hardware, maybe some with the game itself.

Here is a list of games which are supported: http://boris-vorontsov.narod.ru/gamelist_en.htm

But it should also work with other DX9 games. In this case it could be possible that not all features will work. Just try it.

Okay I think somebody should test it for Driv3r. JAY, could you ask someone on your board to do that ?

Ok, me and a user from Driver-Welten forums are currently working on making the mod fully compatible with Driver Parallel Lines. Our main goal is to remove all lags so that the mod will be also playable on older PCs.

Work in Progess: http://driver.onlinewelten.com/forum/in ... readID=522

More updates in this thread.

Okay, fine. And if it still doesn't work maybe you could test it somewhere else on another computer ( to be sure that it's not your fixed PC ^^ ).

It looks quite cool, especially in 78 but i think it is way to dark in 06, but yes as you said, that can be fixed.
I don't know if i could use it permanantly though, i'm just too used to the current graphics.

I'm currently trying to change the lighting. Unfortunately the creator of the mod doesn't want to make it fully compatible with Driver Parallel Lines. He is working at some other games at the moment (like Mafia). So some parameters are not avaible and can't be changed.

Do you personally know the guy that created the mod? If so, can't you convince him to atleast let you know how to change it yourself?

I'll try this soon.
Whenever I get my time back!

I'll also write a wiki-article on it whenever I do and I'll create a guide on what each variable does and the best settings.

Overall on the screens that JAY posted it makes some annoying improvments, but some look pretty good!
