Walkthrough Tips .:: USING THE MAP (MAP1) ::.

The map shows a simplified layout of the road system in black. The red lines on the map are the L-Train, which you can't drive on. The red circle is your home. A small white dot represents Tanner (you). The green dot is your target. A cone-shape 'search-light' eminates from the target, directly to your point on the map. This shows which direction the target is from where you are... useful if a fleeing car goes just out of sight.

Press the START button to bring up the large, full-screen map. Here you can plan a route to your destination. This is most useful when the target is on a different island, and you'll need to find a route to a bridge.

Occasionally on the map will appear a small white triangle. This is a police car. The triangle shows the cop's field of vision. Don't be fooled into thinking he can only see where that white triangle covers... the arm of the law is indeed long, as is his sight. If you barrel-roll past him at 80mph, he'll be all over you, so slow down and mingle with the traffic until he's past. If your Felony meter is even partially filled, he'll be on your case. You've broken the law, no excuses. Now is the time to run. When the police are chasing you, the map will flash red and blue, and any police unit shown on the map will be displayed by a larger white triangle.

.:: CORNERING (COR1) ::.

The simplest way to corner at high speeds is to release the accellerator, hold left or right depending on which direction you're aiming for, tap the brake once, then get back on the accellerator. The back end of the car will swing out. Be sure to come off the steering just after you get back on the accellerator, or you'll need to steer in the opposite direction to counter an oversteer.

Try to take the corner as wide as possible. Remember that there are lots of lampposts, poles, trees, parked cars etc. hampering the turn.

.:: LOSING THE TAIL (TAI1) ::.

Sometimes during a mission, you'll be told to "Lose the tail". Any pursuing enemy vehicle or police vehicle will need to be either outrun or incapacitated before you can complete your objective. Here's a few helpful tips for cooling the heat:

- 180.... speed towards some traffic with the pursuing car close behind, get just past the traffic vehicle, then hit triangle to handbrake and turn left / right to swing the car 180 degrees. Quickly jump on the burnout button (circle) and peel away from the pursuier. Hopefully, the pursuing car will smash into the stationary vehicle you've just created

- chicken.... drive straight at an oncoming vehicle, swerving out of the way at the last possible second. The traffic car, which should hopefully go the opposite way to you, will, with any lucky, swerve straight into the pursuing vehicle.

- weaving.... works well on highways with lampposts / streetlights in the central grassy area. Weave through the lampposts/streetlights, narrowly avoiding them by inches. If you're subtle enough about it, you can cause the pursuing car to ram straight into the pole... works best when the pursuer is right on your bumper.

- boxing.... lead the pursuing car into a confined area (behind a building perhaps). Now drive off. The AI may make it out, but it will probably start bouncing off walls while you make your getaway.

- cutting corners.... on many corners are lampposts, trees, traffic signals etc. Instead of driving on the road around said corners, veer onto the sidewalk and aim to go straight between small gaps created by these poles/trees whatever. The pursuing AI car will hopefully smash right into them.

- broadsiding.... when a cop-car is heading straight at you, it will play chicken, but will swerve out of the way at the last second. If you judge which way it's going to turn, steer into it, catching it on the wing or side of the car. This is usually enough to send the car flipping over, or at the very least spinning it out of control.

.:: SHOOTING (SH1)::.

For shooting, you have an alternative view - first-person-view. Enable this by pressing SELECT. The controls are already set out like a FPS layout, although they're not as responsive in Driv3r obviously.

Using the crosshair, move Tanner's view onto a target with the right analog stick. When the target is in your sights, the crosshair will turn from white to red, for an enemy, and from white to blue for a friendly/cop. Start shooting.

Your shooting technique depends on the gun your carrying and the environment you're in. It's no good running into a gunfight gung-ho, shooting everything that moves, as you'll get shot to shreds. Here are some helpful techniques to assist in deciding which to do:

- strafing.... learn to strafe. This means walking sideways by pressing the left analog stick to the left or right, without rotating your view. This is one of the most useful techniques you can learn, and the simplest. From behind a wall, you can strafe out into view, already facing the enemy, gun him down, then strafe back into the safety of the wall.

- cover shooting.... if you're stuck out in the open, you're leaving yourself exposed and vulnerable. Get behind something. Anything. Be it a wall, a cupboard, a dumpster, a vehicle... Tanner can duck down by pressing L2, so if your cover is too short, get down. When you're in cover, it's a great time to reload your weapon.

- reloading.... reloading your weapon is essential. The ammo beneath your weapon typically looks like this - 36/212 - meaning you have 36 rounds (bullets) in the magazine (clip), and another 212 spare. If you run into a gunfight with only 2 bullets in the clip, you'll have to stand there reloading your gun whilst the enemies fill you full of holes. I recommend you reload whenever you clear an area or enemies.

- view around corners.... using the camera in third person view, you can look around corners without actually running out into danger. Get Tanner up against a corner. Now use the right analog stick to swing the camera around until it shows you what's around that corner... if you can see an enemy hiding just behind a wall, you can be ready for him.

- pre-aiming.... this works with the viewing around corners technique I told you about above. Pre-aiming means fixing your crosshair on where the enemy will be when you strafe out from cover. For example, if you've opened a door and there's an enemy in the room just itching to pump shotgun lead into you, hide behind the wall just by the door. Now use the right analog stick to fix your aim in the direction of said enemy, then strafe out and he should be already fixed in your sights. Easy pickings.

- headshots.... if you can pick somebody off with a headshot, you'll save 3-4 bullets. A headshot is an instant kill. Don't bother trying to line your crosshair up with someone's head if they're unloading a gun at you, in that case, just open fire.

Choosing the right gun for the situation is crucial. If you're going to be jumping around corners, busting through doors and dealing with a maximum of 2 enemies at once, then the SPAS-12 shotgun is perfect. The collateral damage is huge, so just aim in the general direction of the badguy and start shootin'. It's useless at anything more than a short distance though, so use in confined quarters, and it only has 8 shots per clip.

To take on groups of enemies, machine guns are unmatched. Don't just spray it into the crowd though, you'll just waste your bullets. Use a slow rotation of the aim to mow them all down. The machine guns have a high amount of rounds per clip, but they quickly diminish.

The pistols are great for anything else, especially long distance shooting.

.:: SECRET VEHICLES (VEH1) ::.

MIAMI

Ford GT40:

The bridge heading toward Calita's hideout from your hideout stops by another island, with a single road that leads to what looks like a dead end. However at the end of this road is a garage. Walk up to the garage, and it will open revealing a shiny new Ford GT40! Or a car that's supposed to look like it, since licensed cars are not used in this game. Contributed by Franck Drake

Go Kart:

Heading southbound at Coral Gables, turn west when you reach the last intersection, which looks like a line going through a rectangular rotunda on your map. This road appears to lead to a parking lot, but there's a wide grassy path to its right. You'll see a tunnel to the left once you reach the end of the path, go down into the sewers, and go through the holes in the grating. You'll come to a large yard with a closed blue gate. There are two staircases leading to balconies that lead to doors, take the longer one up and you'll end up at a doorway.

Be careful when you head in, Timmy's waiting for you. After you finish Timmy off, look around and you'll find the gate control, indicated by the glowing yellow beacon. Activate it with L1 and go out the way you came in. Go back to your car (or one of the parked cars) and race through the gate into another yard. As soon as you enter that yard turn LEFT through another opened blue gate and race toward the end...the go-kart track awaits.

The kart's waiting in a pitstop, go ahead and take it for a spin. The game will even time you for your laps!

Shelby Cobra:

Starting from the pier where you got into Lomax's car to trash Tico's (a reference to Dr1ver) with the river behind you, head right until you see a large red brick building. Drive around the building looking toward it, and you'll find the Cobra tucked away in an alley. Contributed by Franck Drake

NICE

Hippie Van:

I took a ride down in Nice today, and headed to the square where you had to rescue Vauban. As you climb that hill to the square (with the bridge under construction to your left) look around and there should be a garage to the left side. Walk up to that garage and you'll find what definitely resembles a classic VW Bus decorated in its classic hippie anti-war colors, fitting since Nice is in France. Seeing as how it's a hippie van, it also runs like it's on crack. Just drive it and see Contributed by Franck Drake

POPP (Pimped-Out Plymouth Prowler):

Go the airport and head east along the runway. Looking to the left you'll see what looks like a firehouse with a large cylindrical tank beside it. Walk up to the left-most door and it'll open revealing this number. Contributed by Franck Drake

Forklift:

Head south along the coastal road that led to the docks in the 18-wheeler mission, but this time bypass the docks until you come to a narrow road that leads off into a grassy peninsula. Go down this road, looking right, until you see an extremely narrow staircase nestled into a large grey wall. Go slowly so you won't miss it. Walk up the staircase (too narrow for a car) and you'll a see a small garage to the right. The forklift's in the garage.

A comment, the forklift isn't as much fun as I thought it'd be, as cars tend to slide off too easily when you lift them. Of course it's nice to lift a sedan and just leave it there, or blow it up with the M-79 to see what happens. Contributed by Franck Drake

ISTANBUL

Speedway car: (contributed by Rob Hayward)

Look at the word "Istanbul" on the map and look to the left(as long as you dont read upside down). There are two bridges, next to the most westerly(asuming north is straiht up when "ISTANBUL" is up the right way) you should see a big light grey area. Go into that large light gray area and locate a red shipping container with this car in it. (Follow the road, its near the end)

Old Fashioned Car: (contributed by Rob Hayward)

Find "Kenedy Road" on the map, follow west to the grey area, next to this is a green triangle(at the end of the train track, the red line on the map.) It is behind a shipping container inside the long building. (There is also a timmy in another building)

Old Fashioned car 2: (contributed by Rob Hayward)

Go to "Beyoglu West" start where the 'e' of West is over the big road, face southwest and drive, take the third left and then the first left, imediately after you turn onto this road there is a gap to your left, go through and it is in a garage.(after going through the wall there is a wall to your left, follow it to the gate, it does not open, and turn right, it is the garage on the end of the building to your left)
Police HQ Get to the Police Headquarters

This is Tanner's home. Get to know it. On the kitchen table is a health pack, upstairs there is another. Exit through the door ahead of you. Outside, just to your right, is a garage with your ride. L1 to enter the vehicle. There is no timer on this mission, so use your map to get to the target and play around with the control system. This should also be a good opportunity to swing your car around some nice 90degree turns. It's important to get your cornering technique down now... you'll be chasing cars pretty soon, and if you lose it on a corner, it's game over.

When you get to your destination, you'll usually see a bouncing red arrow. Enter the police HQ. The cop at the desk tells you "the firing range is all yours". To the left is a doorway with a yellow gun sign. Take out your shooter (R1 or Triangle) and walk in. The object here is to shoot the bad-guy targets, and not hit the civilians.

Enter the firing range. A good technique for this is to just strafe left and right and pick off the targets, aiming only slightly with the right analog stick. The targets pop out at random points, so I can't tell you exactly where they'll come from. Just assume that one will jump out from behind a box, or from an alcove in the wall.

Finished? You can retry if you want... it's not important. On to the next mission...
Lead on Baccus Your first car chase. Quickly get in the police car ahead of you. If you lose the cops you're following, you fail. Press R1 to put your sirens on, hopefully the traffic will get out of your way. Remember what I said about cornering? The chase will turn right shortly, then speed over the bridge. Just follow them.

This isn't really that tough, just designed to get you driving at high speed with no mistakes. If you smash into a tree or something, quickly adjust your direction, and get back on the gas. Should your bonnet be sticking up, press SELECT to get an in-car view.

Once you've arrived at the siege location, move onto the next mission.
The Siege Move around to the left side of the building ahead of you. Baccus is holed up inside with a hostage. Got your gun out? Excellent. You'll see some cops in the road. They're looking at a gateway in the wall to your right. 2 guys are gonna run out of there and start shooting at you. If you stand in the middle of the road, not near the cops, you can pick them off with no bullet-wounds. Shooting from a medium distance at a bad-guy will typically take about 3 shots to kill him, 4 shots for a longer distance. Head to the entrance by the big red arrow. Aiming diagonally through the gate, pick off the guy behind the boxes. Don't go in... adjust your aim so you're facing the wall, then strafe to the gate. When your crosshair is over the badguy inside it'll turn red. Unload 4 rounds and he's dead.

A cutscent takes place with Baccus running off in a car. You're already put in a car. Drive forwards, and to the right and exit the way Baccus did, only slower. The debry will cause you to crash. Try to stay on the road, not the grass, or you'll slide around. Once out, turn left. Baccus is off in the distance. He'll turn left and speed along the road.

Don't attempt to ram him off the road, the chase will end naturally. To catch up with him, drive in a straight line... he'll be weaving all over the place, and you'll gain ground on him in no time. This really isn't that difficult a chase due to Baccus' eratic driving. Keep a cool head, make slight movements to avoid traffic and trees, corner carefully and he's yours. Remember, all you have to do is keep up with him.

As you're chasing him, quite a way down, be prepared for him to turn left. There's a lot of trees around, so your cornering should be quite naive here. A few more left & right turns later, he'll head to a T-junction, where he will turn right. Keep pursuing until he crashes, and a cut-scene kicks in.
Rooftops No rush, follow the map to the destination. This is your first night-time mission. Also beware that this is the first time that police cars will appear on patrol. You can spot them on your map marked with a small white triangle.

Once you make it to the hotel, ditch the car and walk up the fire-escape stairs. Enter the door, then run up the stairs to floor 2. There's a bad-guy here who will start shootin' if he sees ya'. Finish him off with a shot to the back of the head, then take his bullets. Enter the area, go down the corridor to the right. The last door on the left will open. In the room are 2 enemies. They'll start shooting the moment you walk in, so be prepared. It's not necessary to go in if you don't wish to, but kill these two and you can take the automatic weapon from the bed in the room... on the downside, you'll likely lose a lot of health, and it's fairly easy to complete the mission with the weapons you already have. The choice is yours.

None of the other doors open, so back out to the stairwell and ascend to the top. Walk through the door into a small room. Past the next door is the rooftop. Open it. Ahead are 3 enemies huddled together. From the doorway, headshot one of them before they know of your presence. Kill another one, then hunt down the one that run for cover.

Head down the stairs to the lower roof. An enemy will run from between the cylinders on the right. Take him down quickly and get behind the cylinders on the left. Onother enemy is shooting at you from the far end. When he's dead, take care of the guy on top of the far stairwell by moving back a little and aiming over the cylinder with a nice headshot. Head up the stairs and take his automatic weapon.

There is a health pack just ahead of you by the corner of the small building. With your new weapon, run around to the right and kill the enemy in the distance. Don't run past the small building to your left. There's 3 enemies around the corner. Use the corner-shooting technique detailed in the 'Shooting' area of this FAQ to pick them off... alternatively just strafe out, spray your automatic gunfire, then strafe back into safety.

There's another health pack by the door of the last small building. Collect it, enter the door, get in the elevator. You'll be taken down to the garage. The enemies here aren't aware of your presence yet, so use this opportunity to headshot one of the bad guys standing in front of you. Kill the guy in the control booth before leaving the safety of the elevator. Now pick off the guy standing by the far elevator just to the left of the control booth. Stand in the doorway of the elevator, turn left and headshot the gun in the distance (on the far right of the garage). Turn left some more until you can see the guy standing near the end wall. Gun him down from where you are. Only 2 left. Run out the elevator and gun down the guy near the back wall, then get behind the pillars to the left. There's one more guy near the left wall a little further down. Finish him off then head into the control booth. Pick up the health pack and hit L1 to activate the switch, opening the garage door. You should hear a 'ping' sound... 2 more enemies just arrived in an elevator sited to the left of the control booth. Use your automatic weapon on them.

Get in the car in the far corner (marked with a big red arrow, you can't miss it). As the screen prompt says, don't wreck it. Drive it out the garage via the door to the right of the control booth. Head left as soon as you get out. An enemy vehicle will show up on your map as a red triangle. He's out to wreck your car. Now is a good time to press START and check the large map, and plan a route to the target... you don't want to go over the wrong bridge. I suggest following the road, taking the first left, then left again, then following that road until you need to turn right.

To lose the guy chasing you, drive into the oncoming traffic, straight at oncoming vehicles. Dodge them as late as possible, causing them to swerve into the path of your pursuer. Also try weaving past lampposts, trees etc. Basically, the more erratic your driving, the quicker you should lose him. Once you make it to the target, a cut-scene will kick in.

ALTERNATIVE:

When you get in the car, edge out the garage, then get out. It will tell you to get back in. Ignore this. Go out and shoot the 2 guys in the chase car. (Contributed by sirsmilie)
Impress Lomaz Exit your home through the door to your left, go left to the front garden. Turn right and run towards the moorings. Jump into one of the speedboats from the dock... if you land in the water, go near one and hit L1 to get in. Go to the target, it's halfway up a river on the other island, so use your map to get there. Getting back onto dry land is a tricky affair... pull up right next to the walkway, jump on the bonnet, then jump onto the ground.

Approach the cars and 3 guys. Stick close to the guy in the cowboy hat, he's Lomaz. He'll tell you the mission - wreck Tico's place.

Get in the car and you'll notice the 1:30 timer ticking away. This mission may take a few attempts to pull off in the time limit. The basic idea is to follow the route, smashing into the marked target - oil drums, tanks, huts, walls etc.

Don't worry about the guys shooting at you, just concentrate on lining up the targets with your bumper, especially the jumps, or those that require you to drive through a small shed. Once you smash one target, a new one will appear on the map marked with a green dot. The last target is on top of a small building. There's a ramp set up to get up there, which you'll need a long run-up to hit and get on the roof. If you blow it, you'll likely fail and be placed back in the car at the start. Don't forget to use the burnout button (circle) for quick accelleration after destroying one target... and take it slow through the small huts, it's easy to hit the ceiling.

Once you finish the course, Lomaz will instruct you to go and swap cars. A new target is on your radar just behind where you are. You're off to the Red River bar now. Locate it on your map, and park up outside.

Are you there? Your objective is simple - shoot the bar up before the cops arrive. First off, kill the barman. There's another guy in the room to the left by the pool table with an automatic weapon. Get his ammo before he dissolves. Another guy will pop up on the other side of the bar. Make sure you shoot all the wine bottles etc behind the bar... the fruit machine... the pinball table... the lights... the ceiling fans... the tables... the pool table... the jukebox and all those little tables next to it... the television in the corner... you should manage to fill the meter before the time runs out without too much bother (using your automatic weapon).
Gator's Yacht After a phonecall from Callita, run out your back garden to the powerboat awaiting. You'll notice you have 2 targets on your map. The first one you should head to is to the south, it's a large yatch. Callita's advice was to steal a small boat from the yatch... easier said than done. Ditch the powerboat before you get too close to the yatch, jump in the water and swim to the back end of the yatch. Press L1 to climb the ladder onto the yatch. Go up the stairs on the right... through the door... past the room with the piano and through the next door. The dining room is next, pass through and into a small room... then into a grey room with a switch marked with a yellow box. Press L1 to activate the switch and a small speedboat will be lowered into the water... with you inside it. Drive this speedboat to the other target on your map - Stiltsville.

ALTERNATIVE:

In Gator's yatch when you need to get the boat from the yatch, don't enter from the back, from the side on the right there is a long ladder taking you to the deck. When you reach the top there is an enemy with his back turned, kill him. From there go towards the front of the yatch which will take you straight to the boat dock room with ease Contributed by bashar1988

Stiltsville is a group of small buildings suspended on stilts in the water. It's heavily defended, which is why you need this boat to go in undetected. Park your boat next to the walkway of the building marked with the big red arrow, and jump onto the walkway. Make sure you don't have your gun out, the guys on here think you're one of Gator's men and will leave you alone. Run up the stairs, then in the small grey door at the top of the stairs. Inside is a storeroom. Take the C4 marked with a yellow square... and the healthpacks & gun on the floor. Through the next door is another C4 charge on the bed, and one more on the table. Leave the storeroom and get back in your speedboat.

Drive back to the yatch. Do not ditch the boat this time, drive it right up to the rear end of the yatch, then jump over onto the yatch. You'll get shot at, so kill the guy as quick as you can, then run up the stairs on the right. Hug the side of the next set of stairs and pick off the guy on the far side. Then strafe out and kill the guy at the top of the stairs. Facing the stairs, there is a door either side. Enter the one on the right. Kill the 2 guys by the piano, take the healthpack. Proceed to the next door, behind it is the dining room and 2 more enemies. Take the healthpack next to the C4 target. Press L1 to place a C4 charge in the yellow square.

Run back to the stairs. Now run up them. Run around the far left and down the side walkway of the boat to collect a healthpack, then do the same on the far right side. Do not go up to the upper deck, there's nothing up there. Enter the white door at the top of the stairs you just came up. 3 enemies inside. 2 you can pick off from outside, the last you will need to run in and start shooting to your left. Healthpack on the table to the right. Down the corridor, a guy will appear at the corner. In the second door on the right are 2 more healthpacks. Enter the last door into the Bridge. 2 enemies in there. Once they're dead, place the second C4 charge. Run back out to the stairs and kill the guy waiting outside the door.

Go back down 1 set of stairs. Now enter the door on the left. It leads to the engine room. There are 4 enemies here - don't forget the one hiding in the shadows to your right. Take the healthpack from the left end. At the other end there's an enemy hiding behind a cylinder on the right. Kill him and place the final C4 charge.

You now have 30 seconds to get the hell outta there. Run back up the stairs, out the door (kill the guy in the way if you have to), down the stairs and hop in your boat. Speed off as far as you can - if you get caught in the blast, you're dead.

INFO: (contributed by Rick Steele)

I was having trouble on mission 6 and checked out your web page. I was going to Stiltsville first but then I saw that it was second on the list and finally got it completed. I did see something interesting by going to Stiltsville first though. Upon entering the room where the last 2 C4 packs are the girl is on her knees in front of the guy. He just stands there while being serviced by her. After shooting him she stays on the floor with her hand in front of her mouth and the other hand a few inches away from her mouth - and she's making sucking noises. I don't know if this info is appropriate for your web page but I thought I should share it with you.
Trapped Okay, you're trapped in the car-park and decide to make your getaway through the mall. Not much tactics in this one, just speed along, following the Exit signs until you make it out onto the streets. Don't smash the car up too much, the mission depends on your vehicle remaining in one peice. There's a nice shortcut halfway through... just after the 2 cops standing in the way and you turn right into the large open area, stay on the left and head for the white square in the distance. It's a quick way to the large open area at the end.

As you do burst out onto the street, 2 police cars will try to block you, just ram straight through. Take a right turn. I've prepared a route which should help you avoid the police:

- after you take a right out of the garage, go to the end

- turn left. Follow this beachfront road then take a left at the junction where a small road bends onto the beach (looks like a J on the map)

- take the next right

- follow the road around the bend, then take the first right marked on the map (not a backstreet)

- drive forwards and up the sliproad, onto the freeway

- stay on the right, and go down the next sliproad ahead of you

- take a left at the bottom

- follow this road under the overpass, then take a right

- your destination is straight ahead of you

Callita now orders you to ditch the car in the water. The police are still looking for you, so here's the best route back, avoiding them:

- turn left, drive along, take the first left.

- follow this road to the very end, then turn right.

- drive to the end of this road, where you will reach your destination

See the ramp? Line yourself up with it, back up, burnout with circle and speed towards the ramp. You can't bail out, you don't need to. As soon as the car hits the water, mission complete.
Dodge Island When you get near the warehouse, the guards will raise the barriers. Go through the gap in the fence on the right a little further down, weave through the buildings, then drive through the shed thing. Walk up to the arrow and a cutscene will trigger.

After the cutscene, get in the car as quick as you can. Smash through the window ahead of you. Don't get off the gas for one second. Speed forwards and under the container that's being lowered. If you don't make it under, get out and weave through the containers. Once past, you're trapped. Jump out and start shooting. Make your way up the steps and into the building. There's health inside. Don't miss the guy crouching either behind the white generator on behind the corner.

Drop off the ledge to the outside. Take cover behind this dumpster and aim between the 2 trailers. An enemy will run and stand there, shoot him dead. Strafe out and aim along the dumpster, shooting down the enemy that's running straight towards you. If you need it, there's a healthpack in the corner by the barrles, next to the staircase. The exit is at the other end, to the right of the building you came from. 2 enemies are hiding around the corner, one will run behind the yellow container. After them, another will jump out from behind the dark green container on the right. Further down, 1 more is hiding behind the white container, and another around the corner by the blue container. Wait here for another badguy to run out from behind the dark green container on the right and gun him down. There's a healthpack next to this guy.

Ahead is a parked car with 2 enemies standing next to it. Take them down from a distance then get in the car. Drive it along the path, under the cranes. A van will try to hit you between the yellow containers, so stay to the left and you'll miss it. Continue to the end where there's a large clearing. Several cars & vans are here, and will try to play destruction derby with you. Instead of speeding in, turn sharply left as soon as you enter the clearing. Get out as quick as you can, then use the small ramp on the right of the next set of yellow containers to avoid another road-block attempt.

Next go through the building. Ahead is a gap between red containers. A van will try to block you, so slow down and wait for it, then take the ramp on the right... sometimes the van appears on the ramp. As you weave between the myriad of red crates, a large truck will appear ahead of you. Stick to the far right and you should avoid a collision. Another truck will block your path, so take a left along the red containers. Follow this, then take a right when you see the van. Speed along, across the road... if your car is wrecked at this point, kill the 2 enemies and take their car. Go through the gap in the fence ahead of you. Take a right, smashing through the chain-link fence if you have to. Follow the route down the left side of the factory ahead of you. Smash through the gates at the end. Keep to the left, until you are lead back on to the road (drive through another fence), where you will turn left.

The drawbridge ahead of you is being raised. You can't make it over, no matter how hard you try. Stop here (crash into the enemy shooting at you on the left if you wish) and get out. There's a boat waiting in the water below. Kill the guy at the toll booth, and the guy from the car chasing you (if he's there) and proceed down the steps. Jump in the boat at the bottom.

Drive the boat over to the other island where the target is, grounding it on the beach to get out. Enter the door and the mission is complete.

ALTERNATIVE:

Once your on the other side heading back you can ramp off one of the slopes into the water close to a strip of road that has a beach on it. Swimming to there it cuts out a lot of it. (Contributed by sirsmilie)

This is after you go past the 2 cars at the barrier, then down the side of the warehouses, hit the ramp into the water. It's a bit of a swim...
Retribution In this mission, you're driving, and Lomaz is shooting out the window, Starsky & Hutch style. You control the shooting too, so use R1 to fire and the steering to get the crosshair on Gator's car.

If you lose Gator, you fail. Okay, first thing to do is to destroy the escort car. Don't worry about your ammo, it's infinite, so keep shootin'. You should be able to get pretty close at the start, so hop on the gas. It's also pretty easy to destroy the escort car very quickly, you just need to burst a few tires. Adjust your aim up and down with the left analog stick. If not, just keep chasing and shooting, keeping one eye on where Gator is heading.

Once the escort car is destroyed, a message will appear saying 'Chase Gator's car'. You won't destroy him, so just keep chasing until a cut-scene triggers. You now have to keep Lomaz alive to succeed. He's got a SPAS-12 shotgun, so he can take care of himself, although he won't actually do much at all.

Move to the left and take down the 3 enemies outside. The first guy in the shed has a SPAS-12 shotgun. Kill him then collect the shotgun. There's 4 guys behind the crates, some machine-gun fire will sort them out. Equip your shotgun from here on. Exit and turn right, gunning down the enemy. Enter the door and gun down the enemy, collect the healthpack. In the next room is 1 more enemy behind the desk. When you have a shotgun, shooting from cover isn't really necessary, just point and blast. There is more health in this room. The next room is empty. Open the next door, turn left and shotgun the 2 enemies. You're given an objective... "Take a speedboat and stop Gator".

Quickly get in the waiting speedboat and chase after Gator's boat. Don't bother shooting, you can't damage him. He'll stop at Stiltsville. This part requires an amount of practice... and luck. Stop your boat a little before you reach the stilthut. Release the controls with L1, take out an automatic gun, and kill the enemy waiting by the red arrow. Move the boat a little closer, but not right up the the stilthut. There's an enemy on the top platform, above the base of the stairs, kill him. The last enemy is on the right, towards the other side of the stilthut platform. He's hard to see, so move the crosshair until it turns red, and open fire. With these 3 dead, get closer and jump onto the platform next to Gator's boat. Walk slowly up the stairs.

Gently open the door and use the camera to peek around the corner. I recommend the high-powered machine gun for this part. Take down the guy just inside. Walk to the corner a little and another guy will run out, straight into your bullets. Now look at the wall panel behind where you shot the first guy just now... it'll break down if you shoot it, revealing a hidden enemy in a secret room. Once he's dead, collect the much-needed healthpack in there.

Back in the main room, face the 'NO PARKING' written on the wall. Strafe out to the left and start firing at the enemy who will jump out from the far wall on the right. Walk down the corridor to the door on the right. Open it and start firing straight away, mowing down the guy inside. There's another healthpack here. Around the corner, the door will swing open and you can see an enemy betrayed by his shadow cast on the floor. Aiming from the corner, strafe left and catch him in the spray of bullets. There's one more outside the door a little to the left, holding a SPAS-12. Begin firing, then strafe right to kill him dead.

Gator is in a boat just below the wooden railing. Don't go out the door or you'll be shot. Instead, press L2 to duck down. You should be able to see his head, only just. Get it in your sights, and start shooting. He'll pop down, then jump back up... keep shooting. If you can see enough of him whilst standing to not get shot at, then by all means, kill him that way, but either way, there's no reason to go further than the doorway and expose yourself any more than you have to.

You will probably replay this level many times, learning the exact position of the enemies. I played it through about 30 times, and this is the best way through I have found.
Welcome to Nice Callita calls instructing you to meet her. Time is of the escence, so don't stand about looking around your funky new pad .Run down the stairs and out the white front door ahead of you. Get in the car outside and start making your way to the target. After about a minute, Callita will ring your cellphone telling you "Change of plan. The locals are hostile and there's too many of them. Get me out now!" Callita's health is displayed by a meter on the screen.

Once you get to your target (it's up a little narrow backroad) you'll have to get out the car and run in shooting. Callita is by the red arrow marker. There's about 4-5 enemies shooting at her which you'll need to take down with an automatic weapon. There's a healthpack next to Callita.

Now you have to get Callita to Bad Hand's van. Run with her, but stay ahead of her. At the end of the road, 2 enemies will appear. Turn left at the end and a green car will screech to a halt ahead of you. There's only 1 guy in it, plus another guy walking towards you just to the left by the coffee tables. Run ahead and be prepared for another 3 enemies at the corner.

Turn right, a dark car will drive past and stop by you. Gun down the driver through the windows before he can get out. 2 more enemies are running towards you. You should have collected an Uzi by this point. Take the next left turn. 2 cars stop at the end. There should be 1-2 guys in each car. When they're dead, run across the square and you'll see the red arrow. There are no more enemies in this section. You'll jump in Bad Hand's van, but this time you're not driving, you're shooting.

Use the right analog stick to aim. You're trying to wreck the chase cars, causing them to crash. Aim at tyres, the engine, anything you can. Also try to pick off the drivers. If they die, the car is sure to crash out. There are several cars, and the basic strategy is to keep shooting until they either crash, explode or the driver dies. You don't have infinite ammo, you're on your own supply. Try cycling through your weapons... you'll find a nice new toy in the form of a grenade launcher. Save this and use the automatic weapons first. The chase cars will back off, then speed up and ram into you. They seem to have Nitrous Oxide injected into their fuel, considering the speed bursts. Don't let them do too much damage to Bad Hand's van or you're dead. Shoot in controlled burst of fire when you have a clear shot. Don't worry about them when they're far away, just shoot when they come up close. Ride it out and eventually you'll reach the destination.
Smash and Run Motorbike! Okay, the objective is to get there before the truck, so make sure you get on the freeway. The first target is in an underground carpark. To get there, head straight down the road until you come to the freeway at the bottom of the hill, shown as a thick black road on the map, then turn left onto it. Speed along to near the end where there's an entrance to a carpark on the right. Drive down there, steal the car and drive back out onto the road. The truck should be almost near you by now. Drive the car into the back end of the truck, hit L1 to get out, then steal another bike (just start shooting in the direction of the bike, the driver will run away).

Now off to your next target. Take the freeway all the way there. The truck is going the same way. The car is in the garden on the left just before the sidestreet marked on the map, inside a garage. Press L1 to open it. Drive out the way you came in, turn right and right again. The truck should be right next to you by now. Get in it. If there's no bikes around, a car will suffice.

There's one car left. Quickly nab a bike. The last car is in a car showroom, shoot the windows to get in. Fortunately, the truck is going along a winding mountain road. You should catch it on the top of the mountain with about a half a mile to go.

This mission will take a few attempts, but if you get closer each time, then you're on the right track. It has to be flawless, which means no crashes, no falling off the bike, no getting stuck on a tree.
18 Wheeler First thing, get to the destination marked on the map. Don't drop off the edge down to the water. Run along the road at the top following the fence until there's a small unmarked road on the left. There's a gap in the fence about halfway down on the left. Climb through and run down to the wall, where you'll find a ladder. Ascend the ladder to the top of a small building. Headshot a few of the guards until the siren sounds and more guards will pour out of the buildings.

Get back down the ladder, run up the hill a little. From here you can kill the rest of the guards in relative safety. Once they're disposed of, get back up that ladder and shoot out the skylight. Drop inside and turn to the right, gun down the guy behind the far right window. Now collect a healthpack and an M16 machine gun. Run into the courtyard, searching for any remaining guards, gunning them down when you catch sight of them. Keep moving to avoid being shot. Run for the crane in the far corner where the red arrow is marking. There is a healthpack by the purple container near the crane (and another in the large hangar).

Climb the ladder and activate the crane with L1. You must use the d-pad to lift the blue container onto the flatbed truck. The crane moves along the tramlines in the ground. Move it over the center stack of containers and hit X to pick up the top one. Dump it atop the single container on the left. Now return to the blue container you have revealed. Pick it up and lower it onto the flatbed trailer... it's just behind where the crane started on the far left.

Climb back down the ladder. Get in the truck in the garage. Carefully reverse it under the trailer until they connect. A new target is on your map - the docks. Smash out the gates and drive up the road. After a short cutscene, a small police car is tailing you. Don't worry about him, just get to the docks using the mountain road. There will be roadblocks which you can smash straight through.

ALTERNATIVE: there is a separate entrance to the compound. If you go down to the road by the water, dive in the water and swim through the tunnel by the wall, you will emerge through a hole in the floor. This way is harder - you'll have much less cover to shoot from.
Hijack Okay, drive forwards a little, then veer off to the right onto the grass. Drive behind the small building to bypass the roadblock. Drive down and hit the ramp to vault over the hedge and back on the road. Now just stick behind the truck until it reaches it's destination.

Once you arrive, the truck will turn under an archway. There's 2 enemies outside shooting at you. Jump out the car and gun them down. Run to the left side of the arch. Strafe out and gun down any enemies by the truck. Using the arch walls as cover, gun down the several enemies in the courtyard - I recommend the M16, it's high powered and has a large magazine. There's one enemy on the far left corner, on top of the wall under a water tower, which you can cause to topple by shooting the support struts.

With the enemies dead, hop in the car. The route back to Callita's is littered with roadblocks and enemy chase cars. Here's the best route, avoiding the roadblocks...

- Drive back out onto the road you just came, turning left.

- At the top, turn right. You should bypass an enemy pursuit car. Drive a little way up, then turn around and go back down, staying on this road. The reason for this is that the chase car will disappear.

- At the bottom of the hill is a roadblock, so drive up the grey road on the right corner.

- Turn left at the top.

- Drive straight ahead, a gate will open on the right. Drive in to the target and exit the vehicle.
Arms Deal Drive out onto the road, turn right and go to the destination. After you drop Lomaz off, you have to collect the pickup around the rear of the building. Get out the car and walk forwards. In the alleyway a little further down on the left are 3 enemies, 2 in plain sight and one hidden to the back left. Gun them down from behind the wall. Run just past the first car along the left wall until 3 more enemies appear ahead, then run back behind the first car, where you can kill them from safety.

Enter the alleyway, strafe out into the open garage on the left and spray the 2 guys there with machine-gun fire. There's health at the back of the garage behind boxes if you need it. Get in the green car parked behind the pickup truck. Drive it out onto the road to the right. Drive to the first road on the left, and ditch it so it blocks the left hand lane. Use the other 2 green cars (or any other cars) to completely block this road. The reason for this is that a chase car will come from this road and cause havoc with your arms case. The most effective way I've found is to park one car across the left lane, then the other 2 zig-zagged behind it.

Get in the pickup truck. You now have a 2:28 timer eroding away, as well as an 'Arms Case' meter... if that meter fills due to your reckless driving, you'll explode. Get out onto the main road to your right and head in the general direction of the destination. Hopefully the chase car will smash into your roadblock and be immobilized and disappear off your radar. Remember that sharp cornering will make the crate roll around in the back and make it more unstable. From here on it's easy driving.
Booby Trap Avoid collisions or you're doomed. You can drop below 50 for a few seconds but after that... it's a nice explosion if you want to see it, just leave the pad for the start of the mission and watch the car fly.

There's a speedo on the left under the meters. If you do smash into something, jump on the burnout button quickly. You should aim to get on the beach-front road, it's easier to drive on at high speed. You'll need to keep one eye on the traffic ahead and pick your spot to weave through.

When you get near the target, you'll see it's a truck driving along the beach. Pull up alongside on the left of it. Lomaz is going to jump out. You'll need to keep the speed steady and stay alongside the truck whilst pressing R1 to jump over.

Now that you've offloaded Lomaz, you need to get back to Fabienne's truck. As soon as the cutscene is over, veer up the slope on the right, then turn into the main road on the right (the long road). Stay on this road, watch the map, thrn turn off on the last turn on the right. As you get near the target, there's a clearing on the right. Turn in there and keep going between the warehouses. Aim at the 18-wheeler truck ahead, then when the screen prompts you to, bail out of the car.
Calita in Trouble You have the option here to either destroy the truck with a team of mercenaries en-route to Callita, or get to Callita and help her fight off the enemies. The truck is marked on the map as a green dot. Callita is where the destination waypoint is beckoning.

Catch up with the truck and start shooting with Lomaz. The back doors will swing open showing 2 guys inside. Don't stay in their fire for too long, or your car will explode, and Lomaz just will not get out. Gun them down from a distance. If you have to reload, pull off to the side to avoid their gunfire. Alternatively, shoot out the truck's tyres and it'll crash. In any case, once the truck is immobilized, you'll be told to get to Calita.

The waypoint is down a small alleyway. Around the first corner are 2 enemies, you should be on foot by now and gunning them down. Run up the stairs and kill the 2 guys at the top. There's a grenade launcher in the corner. Shoot the grenades over the balcony into the crowd of enemies. If you didn't bother with the truck, you'll now get a nice cutscene of Callita being squashed by said truck. Give yourself a pat on the back. Now strafe across the railing and finish off any enemies below that are still alive. A cutscene will kick in when it's done.

You now have to kill Fabienne. Run back down those stairs to find a car waiting at the bottom, get in. All you have to do is follow Fabienne... do not lose her. She's pretty quick, so don't crash. Eventually, she'll crash. Get out and shoot her dead to complete the mission.

ALTERNATIVE:

Much easy than chasing her, you can run down the steps as soon as the mission starts and shoot the car as she passes by, one shot kills her. Give it a try, me and a buddy spent an hour trying to stay on her tail then I just decided to gun her down as she drove by, one shot will do it. (Contributed by thejoyofsox)

I tried this, it does work, may take a couple of turns to get the shot, but it's easier than chasing her.
Rescue Dubois Ok, off to the destination, which as you've guessed, is a resturant. Dubois (the detective guy) is being held in there... somewhere. This is a straight-up shoot-the-hell out of anything that moves mission. Take down the guys outside, then run up the stairs and finish off whoever's up there. There's another 2 guys in the lobby. 2 more will run out from a door on the left of the lobby. Kill them and take the healthpack by the door they came from. Now go through that open door.

Be prepared for the guy coming from the alcove on the left as soon as you go through the door. There's one more hiding in there. Behind the red door are another 2 enemies. Take them down from outside the door, turn run in and start shooting at the guy on the far right of the room. Watch the cutscene...

Hop in the car. You can't lose the fleeing vehicle, Dubois is inside it. Chase after it and shoot it to pieces. This is easier said than done. The only advice I can offer is to persevere. If you find Tanner wasting precious seconds at the start by putting his gun away, press Triangle and L1 at the same time, he'll just get in the car with no gun. Like this, you should be able to get right up behind the car for a while.

Once it's wrecked, 2 bodyguards will get out. Shoot them dead and the mission is complete.

ALTERNATIVE: (contributed by alteredhero)

Figured I'd share this after spending sometime trying to stop this car...so here it goes. Don't enter the car to chase them. Run to the left and in front of the car. After a few attempts of the car hitting you, you will eventually end up on the hood. After doing so, SQUAT or you will fly off. After squatting you will be able to shoot through the roof and stop the car in no time. Once stopped, run a little ways and then kill the two guys. Took me multiple attempts to do this, but it works. Need to make sure you have enough health as the impact takes some away. Seemed to be easier for me when not in first person mode.
Hunted Drive along the river to the boathouse. A cutscene will take over, then leave you in a world of mess. Quickly get in the forklift truck behind you, use it to lift a crate with the circle button. If you turn too quickly, the crate will fall and you'll have to start over. They'll have cut through the door in no time, so don't sit there waiting for the crate to raise, start driving as soon as you start to pick it up. Drive the forklift between the 2 walkways next to the crates, leaving the crate in the lifted position. Get out and climb the ladder. The enemies will be shooting at you by now. Run across, jump on the crate to bridge the gap to the far platform, collect the gun at the end, then climb down the ladder. There's a healthpack at the bottom, as well as a shotgun.

You have a choice here of driving the car, or the boat. It's easier to take the car. If you do take the boat, kill the 2 guys in the boat waiting just outside the boathouse before setting sail. I'll take you through the car route.

2 enemies will come through the door. Shotgun them both. There's another 3 guys outside waiting in cars. Step out so they get out, then get back in, kill them using the doorway as cover. Take their weapons and the healthpack just outside the door. Stand behind a car and wait for the roadblock, then gun down the enemies and take their ammo. Get in one of the cars and head down the road. There's another roadblock up ahead. Avoid it by driving around it on the grass.

Get on the main road and go straight. An enemy vehicle will be chasing you. Once you get in the spiral road, keep going around it towards the center. You can actually drive all the way - from the beginning, go left to the blocks that block the road on the right, squeeze the car through the far left gap. At the top of this slope is a roadblock, so do a u-turn around the wall then just keep going along until a makeshift bridge thing traverses the road above you. Speed past the entrance to the castle until you're clear of the gunfire. If you wish, you can get out and blow their car up. Carry on up the road (heading anti clockwise, so facing the castle, run to the right). There's a healthpack on the right by a slope, around the corner is another machine gun.

From where the healthpack is, there's a slope up the side of the castle. Run up that. At the top, take down any enemies by ducking behind the wall... you'll find that you can actually kill them through the wall while you're ducked down. Where the slope forkes, there's another healthpack on the left side. Don't try and roll under that pole through the passageway, you'll get stuck as I have just done. Go back up to the cars. Finish off any remaining enemies, then head into the entrance. There's a few more guys here behind cars. Your M16 should make short work of them. Finally, head into the courtyard to meet Vauban and complete the missions for Nice. See you in Istanbul.
Surveillance You've got a 'Proximity' meter, which if it fills, you fail, but get too close and he'll spot you. Follow the car to the building, this is simple. After the cutscene, jump out of the car, run up the road behind your truck. There's an entrance to the building on the corner, down the stairs. You have to get in there undetected.

Walk in the door, go up the stairs to the left. You can use the right analog stick to rotate the camera to see around corners. At the first corner on the stairs, take out your silenced 9mm and headshot the guy at the top of the stairs. Run up the next flight of stairs, stop and turn around. There's a guy on the balcony that you can headshot from here, but be quick about it or he'll walk away.

Continue down the corridor. Around the corner at the top is another guard with his back to you waiting for a headshot from your silenced 9mm. Drop through the hole in the floor and a cutscene will kick in.

When the cutscene's over, all hell will break loose. Equip one of your machine guns. Gun down the guy by the door, then the guys on the balcony on the opposing building from inside the room. Keep strafing to avoid damage. Go out the door and head right. Around the corner, kill the guy at the top of the stairs. Run up the stairs, and around the second corner, a guy is waiting in the doorway at the top of the next flight of stairs. There's a healthpack at the top of the stairs.

Outside on the rooftop are 3 enemies - one infront of the doorway, another a little further back by the railing. Kill these from inside. Now run out and gun down the guy coming from behind the cube-shaped ventilation shaft thing on your right. There's another guy hiding between the first 2 vent shafts. Another will run up the stairs (not the stairs you just came up). Down on the lower roof are 3 enemies. Use the pillar to the left of the stairs as cover to take out the nearest 2, then pick off the guy on the far left. There's a second healthpack behind the building that you came out of.

Run down the steps to the lower roof then run back up, get behind that pillar. 2 more enemies have revealed themselves from behind the cylinders. Take them down as before. Go back down the steps to the lower roof, head over to the far right. The stairs straight ahead, see them? 3 enemies will run up there. Gun them down. There's another guy hiding behind that vent thing at the back.

Go down the stairs to the the next level down. Run straight to the healthpack you can see behind that vent, and hide behind the vent. Gun down the 2 guys on the far side. Run over to where they appeared from, into the building with the scaffolding. There are steps to the right. On the next floor down are at least 6 enemies that come from behind the far entrance and the vents. Gun them all down. Now run through to the back and down the next steps. On the next level there's a healthpack on the far side. There's a guy in the street below, slip into first person view and gun him down. Now using the wall as cover, gun down the 4 guys in the next room, then run in and grab the healthpack. There's also another guy in the street to shoot. Hop down the blocks to the ground floor. A cutscene will kick in.

Some more enemies have just arrived in cars, conveniently seeing as how you now need a car. They're over to your right, so pick them off from a distance. You'll have to venture out to get the last few. Once they're all dead, take one of thei

r cars and drive to the destination. Avoid any patrol units that show up on your map. Get on the southern-most road as quick as possible, then head across the bridge. There's one coming straight at you, so just stay in the right-hand lane and gun it past him. Take the first right off the bridge and follow the road. There's another car up ahead, so again, stay on the far right and he'll have no chance.

If he's chasing you by the time you get to the destination, you'll have to lose him. See the 'losing the tail' area of this guide, or just get out and shoot the driver. Get to the hotel and the mission's complete.
Tanner Escapes One of the more fun missions this. You'll be given a grenade launcher with 200 grenades, so equip it and go nuts. Blow up any cop cars that are chasing you until you reach the destination and a cutscene. The only difficulty you should have is blowing up the cars that get close to the trick... try firing the grenade in between the headlights, it'll bounce off and the copcar will drive straight over it.

After the cutscene, drive the boat around the city, going anti-clockwise (head to the right). There's a few police patrol boats that seem to just sit there or drive right past you, so they'll cause you no bother. Drive up between the 2 main islands as far as the second bridge. Use one of the sets of steps on the side to get back on dry land. You're armed to the teeth, so gun down any cops that show up.
Another Lead Quickly drive out onto the road and turn left. Keep pursuing the car until it crashes and a cutscene kicks in (yet another chase ending in the guy crashing?) The chase is kinda tough, the only good advice I can offer is watch the map for junctions that he could turn down, and prepare for it. Once he gets on the blue road, he'll only turn left off of it, so keep an eye on him.

After the cutscene, it's a straight up shooting mission. Gun down the guys by the entrance and go in. There's healthpacks littered all over the place. Around the first corner in the market are 2 enemies, and another one at the next corner. Now the market splits up. If you wait too long, the guy will escape. Use the alcoves as cover, keep moving and keep shooting. Look out for health on the floor and just blast your way through to the target. As a tip, when you go through the large room with the pool, after that head right. Someone will shoot a panel from the wall on the right halfway down. The guy is in there.

Nab a car and make your way to the destination. If you get chased, get out and either gun down the cops or blow up their car with your M79. Enter the front doors of the motel to complete the mission.
Alleyway Jump in the first car and speed after the guy. Keep close to him until you get trapped in an alleyway. Run to the red arrow and enter the building. There's 2 enemies running down the stairs for you to gun down. There's a healthpack in the corner by the door. At the top of the stairs, gun down the guy you can see on the upper right outside. One will run in the door, so be ready with the shotgun. There's one more on the very top balcony straight ahead at the back, duck down to see him.

Run out to the left, stop at the first corner and turn to face the wall behind you. Look up and walk back. On the balcony above is a hole in the wall with an enemy in, pick him off. Now grab the healthpack. Run around to the other end of the balcony with your shotgun in hand for the guy that's going to come through the door halfway round. Go through the door and start on up the stairs, gunning down the enemy who appears at the top of the stairs.

At the top is a room, with a guy hiding in the far right corner. Kill him and search where he was standing for more health. There's a door here, go through and down the stairs, killing the guy in the room below. In the corner of this room, go through the next door and down 2 flights of stairs to the courtyard. There's a few enemies here who run from behind pillars. Kill them all, then get in the car.

Smash the gates down and get on the road, turning left as soon as you get out. Stay on this road and head towards the destination. There will be patrol cars to avoid dotted around. If any chase you, destroy them or kill the drivers. Once you reach the destination, the mission is complete.
The Chase Calita takes a preset route, so I can guide you through it. She's tough to keep up with, but the main nuance is traffic getting in the way. Try to follow this:

- Quickly perform a u-turn by jumping on the burnout button and spinning the car around halfway, tap the brake, then continue accelerating until you face the opposite direction. Speed after Calita.

- As the road bends, Calita will bear left at the slight kink in the road. Aim your car between the very last lamppost on the left and the wall to set yourself up for the next road and avoid the traffic. You'll need a bit of luck here, the worst problem is traffic in the way.

- Keep heading along this road, watching the map for the second turn on the right. She'll go down there. You'll have to negotiate a path through the traffic. You should be right behind her by now to stand a better chance of keeping-up through the next section.

- Take the very next left. Don't lose too much time on the corners, the road may be narrow but you'll have to drive quickly and slickly to keep up.

- She'll take the right turn after the first bend, don't miss it. Across the junction take next left, which you can cut the corner on. Then a right turn which you can again cut the corner on. Follow her until she gets back on the road, where she turns left, you'll need to break harder than you think when coming back onto the road or you'll slide across into a lamppost.

- Keep going along and the road bends left slightly, you'll need to release the accelerator a little before the junction so you don't coast into the traffic. Follow her onto the coastal road.

- She may cut through the grassy area on the left, don't follow her. There's too many trees to meander through, you'll inevitably crash. Just keep on the road and use the forecourt to cut the next corner.

- If you've kept up with her, keep chasing along the water-edge road until you reach the bridge and a cutscene.

Dump the car and run down the steps to your right, keep following the walkway around to the right and nab the boat. Speed over to the opposite island, there's a stairway behind a boat you can climb up. Run to the front of the pavilion. If you want, you can fire a grenade in through the doors and see Calita wounded on the floor, but I haven't found a way to kill her here yet. Walk in to be put on a motorbike. The chase goes on.

Turn out of the building and go left, keep up with her. If you fall off, you'll be put back on the bike at the start. A tip for the motorbike chase - don't brake on corners, you'll lose too much speed. If you have to slow down just release the throttle a little. For right turns, use the handbrake.

- She'll take the first right.... don't brake

- Then the next left... again, no braking

- Stay on her trail, after the road bears left, halfway down she'll turn into an archway not marked on the map, but it's opposite the junction on the right. Use the brake to get through it.

- Get off the gas a little to slow yourself down and swing the bike from left to right, around the corner, then straight back on the gas halfway around the corner.

- Speed straight on. You'll need to line up the bike to get through each of the archways/between the buildings, if you need to do this just release the accelerator a little, don't use the brake. Also be careful not to fall off on the bumpy pathway after the fourth gap.

NOTE: it's possible to end the chase right here. If you're close enough, just ram the bike right into her and she'll fall off. I did it just before the third gap. You need to be quick through the turns prior to this to get within reach to pull it off. (thanks to Luke Groves for sending me this great tip)

- She'll take a right after the small pathway with the trees, then through a gap in the fence and onto the road. It's pretty straight, so just keep on her tail.

- Keep watching the map for a junction on the right. She'll turn in there.

- First left, keep following the road to the end where she'll turn right, then left. There's a bit of traffic hampering this junction, usually a taxi will be waiting at the junction on the left, so take it wide.

- A little further ahead, she'll crash.
Bomb Truck Explosive barrels are being hurled from the fleeing truck. They'll only slow you down, not destroy you, unless enough of them hit you. Use your passenger to shoot them. If you can shoot it as it leaves the truck, the truck will sustain damage. Basically, just keep following with some nimble driving, shooting at the truck, and ramming into it whenever you can. If you manage to get ahead of it, jam on the brakes so it slams into you.

Not much strategy to this mission, just keep persevering, it shouldn't take many attempts to clear.
Chase the Train Jump down from the platform and onto the track. Look for the area of sand on your left, it's yellow in color. There's a hole in the fence by there that you can drive through. Jump through it and onto the highway. For reference, there's a shadow cast on the floor. Watch for the bit sticking out on the right of this shadow, turn left just before it.

Keep on the gas along the highway until you overtake the train. When you see the traintrack on the other side of the fence running parallel to the road, there's a hole in the fence a little further up. After you pass a junction, there's orangey colored sand on the right. Look for a gap in the fence just after a black wall.

rive through it and get ahead of the train. This takes some precision driving and it's easy to miss or hit a tree. Stay ahead of the train until you reach a bridge and a cutscene kicks in. You don't have to do that bit again. Now to catch Jericho...

Take down the 3 enemies in this area. There's a full scale street war going on. Run out and gun down the muliple enemies quickly, you must protect Vauban and Jones. If you need health, there are 4 healthpacks situated:

- one by the car on the right halfway up the first hill;

- one by the cars on the left at the top of this hill;

- another behind a car halfway down the next road;

- the last is behind the police roadblock at the end of the second road;

Jones and Vauban are idiots, so don't expect them to kill anybody. They'll stand infront of an enemy and aimlessly shoot, but you'll have to do all the work. You can pick off the bad guys from a distance, just strafe until the view target turns red, then open fire.

Once you get to the alleyway, enemies will pour out from the right. Hang back and gun them all down. There is health behind the police cars, as well as ammo. There's one more enemy down the alleyway hiding on the right, and another behind the skip on the left. Just Jericho left...

If you move behind the skip nearest to him, duck down, move the cursor until it's on him near the rim of the skip, you can shoot through the skip and he can't see you.

Game over. Good job. Now watch the ending sequence (yes, despite taking hundreds of bullets, Jericho's clothes aren't damaged or bloody...)

.:: Email policy ::. Before emailing me, please note that I won't respond to poorly written emails, by this I mean anyone using Internet slang terms for words like "u", "r", "ur", "2", "4", "nemor" etc. I don't mind if English is not your primary languge, it doesn't have to be perfect, just type the word out. Emails like this probably won't even be read, let alone added to the guide.

Also please choose a relevant subject line for your email. I'm more likely to reply to an email called "need help on mission 9", "secret cars" etc, than an email called "about your driver3 guide" or blank subject lines.

If you're contributing to this guide, try to be as descriptive as possible. If I can't follow your directions, then other readers won't be able to. Also, please check that your contribution isn't already here. All contributions are welcome. I'm happy to help you on a mission if you need further help than what's written here.

Wikipedia wasn't all that accurate when I looked at it a couple of months ago, I might create a list of my own for it and try and get it perfect.
