hello. i just passed through, and ive come here in hopes of being able to learn about the insights of driv3r. its been the next game on my list to tear into, so i was hoping someone could fill me in on the following:
-what can be extracted from driv3r as of now?
-what modding tools exist for this game?

currently, i dont have driv3r in my possession anymore, but im eventually getting it for pc so i can start ripping models for other games.

thank you in advance

Welcome to Driver Madness!

I'm no modder but I do know that there are some pretty dedicated modders on this site! In our downloads section, we have some modding tools you can use such as an XA converter and more. Link: http://drivermadness.net/forum/downloads.php?cat=11

We also have texture mods too! These will let you replace the textures of the characters. Here's the link: http://drivermadness.net/forum/downloads.php?cat=12

Enjoy and let us know what kinds of progress you make in modding for the game! :D

Also CarLuver69 is making something beautiful. Go to Driv3r modding section and search for a thread called "Project OVERKILL"

Take a look around the Driv3r modding forum. I don't follow up on the modding progress really but I always see pictures of models. So I can assume they must know how to rip! :)

well i rip the models from the game using NinjaRipper. then import it into 3dMax

whats your experience with ninjaripper? i usually use dxripper3d and its becoming a pain when i have to fix all the crushed and skewed models, and have to do countless copies just to get a set of fully working textures :p

its usually easy to fix the models, but its just annoying having to do it every single time

If you're going to be converting cars from DRIV3R to other games, I suggest using Ninja Ripper. It rips the models perfectly (I can say this because I used it as research for extracting models!)

mmm yeah, i might rip the cars too, but im more into it for the chracters and cities. i had the idea long ago to recreate miami, or at least a part of it to test out the crytek engine, and i was going to start by ripping the city for reference. i dont really plan on going through with that idea anymore since ive been drawn towards the source engine

its definitely a tool ill check out once i can get my work computer up and running online again... say, it wouldnt happen to work on 64bit system would it?
