Level creation tool?

Hey. I am currently creating an expansion pack (w00t) for DRIVER to later be submitted to Ubisoft. I was wondering if there is a DRIVER level editor, as I would like to create my hometown and replace the Newcastle level or possibly somehow have it registered on the city list in the Free Drive screen. Are there any tools to make this possible?

No, unfortunately there's no such tool. The maximum that someone ever made is a mission editor.

maybe you will just have to edit script?

Unfortuanatly this is not possible.
The map, all textures and buildings associated with it are compressed and encrypted to stop players stealing art assets and using them in their own projects.

It is almost impossible to reverse engineer the games map and assoisated assets. The reason behind having many script editors is because mission co-ordinates and other related scripting is all unencrypted and can easily be read by notepad or any other text editing application. These programs basically give you a GUI which makes map editing much easier.

Just out of curiosity do you own or have any experience in any 3d modeling application, eg. 3d studio max, maya, xsi, blender, lightwave.

I assume your hometown is Detroit as you mentioned here. It would be awsome to see it reconstructed.

It would be great, once you finished the project to show Ubisoft and Ubisoft Reflections. It'll show them that modding community is well and alive and may make their next pc title fully moddable with included SDK (Standard Development Kit).

That's a bummer.

As for 3d modelling, I have intermediate experience with Google SketchUp 6 (i am using the free version)
