yo guys im matt, im 17, im here to meet a nice girl...wat.
anyways, i played driver back when i was like 5 i geuss lol, till i was like 10 and my ps1 broke...
recently found out there was a pc version and got it.

anyways, im a pretty good skinner and texturer from games like LFS, Rfactor, cartown on facebook rofl ect ect.
here's some of my work from LFS, But ignore the YO JAPAN DRIFT style of the stickers coz driver is muscle cars, so look more towards the flames, colour and colour effects.





ive done hotrods, nascars ect too BTW and im geussing that would suit driver alot better, like flames, 2 tone with nascar paper backed stickers n stuff..

no i dont want money, figured this forum would somehow relate to lfs's community of skinning forums, skinning teams and public skins.

i did not mean to sound hostile, but the way you made that post seemed like an ad to me, and if you were trying to earn money then you would be spaming, sorry about that.. also as for girls, there is only one girl registered on the forums here.

anyways, instead of me makin a useless FAQ defying thread, how the heck do i add car models to driver?
i got the tools, just never really used anything as oldschool as DOS swapping that much.

we have a program called a texture editer that a member of our forums made, and it is actually a win32 program.. it is somewhere in our forums, should be in the driver 1 section

i got my texture in, but my car model is still standard, got no idea how to use the importer shiz.

i got the tools, but i needa "HOW TO" on what i do with: PLAYERCAR1CLEAN.dmodel, IMPORT_DUSTER_340_TO_SANFRANCISCO.bat and the importer tools in relation.

Driver doesn not support high poly models. So, no luck at importing cars you showed here, sorry. You can try made them low-polied, but modern drift cars will never look nice in Driver

But for all the modellers, I do have a question: do you design skins or do you just place them on the model, or both?

me? i make all my own skins, design all my own flames, vynils, make about 30% of my brand stickers, made a few skin headlight kits and bodykits (shadows and lights slapped on car model to make it appear its a different car, for example you may notice that in some pics its an S13, in others its a X71. but really its still a mitsubishi starion/mazda FC)
ive never modelled though.

Since being modeler from some time, I know, it`s necessary to have both good blueprints and textures.

Then you will need to use the max of your talent, just to model it from nothing. And basic knowledge

I think we should trow a debate about why there is such few girls involved in driver comunity! They could bring sensivity and creative ideas.

about the skins:

if you want to texture or even create cars from scratch, the tools bb_42001 gave you are easy and it is a bucket of fun to drive your own car!
