I'm thinking of getting Driver for the PC again just to try some of this stuff out.

Cerrano?!
Hell yeah!
You should convert the Regina to convert the President's Caddy.
It's just....the hood doesn't have the engine call-out on each side of the vents.(340)

You got DPL textures? Why didn`t you asked me for the original model! :twisted:

PS
DPL used different and better (on my opinion) window textures. Try them.

Your back window is a bit short on the left side (but it's ok since it's a beta), and it sucks that we can't get the spoiler in d1...
Could it be at least possible to make one on a car even if it take a few polys? (just asking, im not saying you should put it on. Im asking so i learn lol)

We have VERTEX FIX, which allows higher polied models.

No, it has this way:
CIVCARxCLEAR -> Milkshape -> .obj -> Blender -> modelling and UV -> .3ds -> Milkshape -> PLAYERCAR5
and the texture
DPL -> textures ripping -> GIMP resizing, colouring -> 1024 -> UV mapping -> 256

I have original texture ripped myself from DPL, it has.

The original, hi-poly model is useless with 256 poly limit.
I'll try these textures, but they are square, and the windows are round. In next post I'll show, how the UV looks like.

No, this impression is caused by these photos. UV is straight and symetrical.
I don't know what 'bout the spoiler, I forgotten it xDDDD
I'll try.

Ok, we have vertex fix, fine, but I think you have forgotten that we haven't export-to-dmodel plugin, because current version of plugin has limiter. Exporting >256 polys causes error window.

Yes, but since you didn`t used higher polied model for accuracy, it`s little bit unnaccurate. Even for the spoiler. Do eet.

PS
Windows can be made properly if you assign them properly to an object, it doesn`t matter for how you made the model. I think you should leave how is it now, just make them black, after all.

Also I think you should better export as .obj from editing program, but it`s your decision :wink:

I can't wait for hi-poly exporter. My BETTER models just wait for D1 ]:)

I made them black-dark grey gradient, but there is something wrong with my DTE and it does something like this crappy dithering.
I have some idea for windows for now... But I noticed I have some problems with bad wireframe.

Also damage doesn't work properly.

Ahh, that problem...Driver detects RGB 8, 8, 8 for transparency. Just throwing that out there.

hm... you mean that colour R-8, G-8, B-8, so almost black is transparent in D1? :D
Interesting.... }:>
