Since I am not very familiar with Milkshape3D, i'm using Wings3D instead. I think we can create low poly cars for DRIVER, but the problem is, there's no importer/exporter plugin for Wings3D ( i'm not a coder ).
It will be great if SOAP or Someone972 could write a plugin for Wings3D users.
What i have done, is exporting the car in fbx or obj format, then importing it in Wings3D, and re importing in Milkshape3D. So it's not very easy as you can see.
For the damaged cars, i don't know how the game engine handle the deformation of the meshes.

I do, but for you to be able to use your own you have to use the vertex fix patch, which I haven't written a model importer for yet.
