Driver 2 Engine Sounds to for Driver 1 PC

I ripped from Driver 2 the engine sounds from the cars of Chicago and Havana levels! If you download the wav. sounds , do not execute them from WMV ( it can blow your ears if in High Volume ) , replace '' incar.wav " with one the sounds downloaded. Do not forget to make a backup of the original incar.wav before replacing it!

Soon: A Youtube Video will be posted!

Hey man, I found the problem -

There's a part in the .WAV file where there's no sound, and upon looping it in Audacity, it sounds like it's restarting. Want me to fix it and reupload it for you? I wouldn't mind!

yeah that's what the problem is. i used Audacity for my sounds, and i deleted the empty parts. then i selected a "cycle" of sound (start at a point and go until you see the specter-is that how its called?- repeats) then i tuned the speed a bit, and voila! I got almost perfect sounds ^^
Btw, i ripped the sounds direcly from the games before to modify them in Audacity. With PSound (reads sounds files from ps1 and ps2 games)

Btw, i can edit your sounds too. It's your choice ^^

That's the reason! I used the BestPractice to try to loop the wav. files , but it does not seemed to work out !
Thank you guys!

Great! I would make more engine sound , the problem is that i don't have the Driver Disc 2 and even the GS to rip out the sound of Las Vegas and Rio levels!

How do you rip the sounds? Because all the level files are on each disc, you know. Even Las Vegas and Rio!

Using Fraps Recorder , Epsxe and the Driver 2! Simple find a quiet place when you can get to the top speed , then start recording when the car engine sound is on the max speed! then get the avi file from the fraps convert to mp3 , edit on Audacity ( Thanks for your advices ) and replaced the incar.wav from the Driver 1 sounds folder! Then it's done! If the sound of the car gets low , just add pitch to sound ( I used Best Practice to add pitch )! I think is that!

P.S: To remember: the sound has to be continous , or otherwise , the sound will start low and will get high depending the duration of the sound!

Yes! I think you can add any incar sounds from anywhere , if the sounds are continuos!

Thanks and Keep Doing your awesomes modifications! :D

good one. I can't get D2 sounds because there's no .XA files in the game :(

Simplier method is using for eg. Audacity to record "stereo mix" or "output" from system. Then you'll record all the sounds you can hear in headphones/speakers. No avi, no converting.
