Wrong topic, but it`s not possible. Seems like PC version could not use .XA extension for music.
Well, it`s not sure at all though, but who knows?

Man, i have all the tracks on MP 3 format (the PSX score)
So i thought if Driver PC score is MP3 it could be great to put Driver PSX songs

You are talking about the Direct-X music, as used in Driver`s CD, aren`t you?
I`ve been trying to find where it`s located, but I think it`s under any .cab file, so it`s not possible (Media player locates it in "wmpcd://2/1", so even to know the extension is not possible

) But I`m not sure at all, if Reflections do used MP3 for the music. It`s non-logical, since I`m guessing it should be .SWP extension used in the PSX version Destruction Derby.
And so, it could be possible within some modding, I think.

I had an idea, copy the files of the Driver CD and put them on a new CD(but erasing Driver PC soundtrack and putting in the folder some new tracks, and after that burn it)
What do you think?

Hi, users, i'm new here
There are some converters XA - WAV, so listening PSX music on PC is possible, but modyfing music in PC Driver isn't possible, but as i have read, somebody on this forum found, that WMP can find PC music on PC-CDrom... So it is possible, we are one step from finding, where is PC music located, and where is it possible to mod it.
So - today it isn't possible to change music in game, but soon... We can only try find the way to do it or wait, someone else will do it.

If you rip the DIRECTX folder off the CD and place it in the installed Driver director (C:\Program Files\GT Interactive\Driver) and turn on Music, the music will play! I'm assuming the music is inside a DLL file or something...

I'm doubtful.. DLL files are LIBRARIES, so they are something like scripts... aaah... I haven't any idea how to explain that... If you are the game, you use DLL library like book. You read the book and see, for example - "Turn on radio and play CD with music"... Afaik, DLL can tell the game, "where are CDs" and "which choose to play", or tell the game HOW to do that, and order of playing music is in game script. In DLLs there are no tracks with music. Even if it is DirectX library. I think.
Dr.Doom, as far I know, you can write programs in C++ or something else, I don't know?

It could be possible. Even, we may need only the location from where Media Player plays and can rip them. The location Media Player finds is:
wmpcd://1/ as each tracks ranges from 1 to 6 (e.g. wmpcd://1/1 or wmpcd://1/6). I simply can say that they did an compressed media cd (wmpcd - could be: Windows Media Player CD).
That`s on theory.
