Entirely scratch made, extracted textures using PSXVRAM, got the basic side shape using the blueprint shown, the rest was entirely guessing + using reference pictures not shown.

How's it looking? Should be done later today...

UPDATE:

Image

I'm pretty sure it's done...just got the wheel wells and chassis done...I'm going to attempt to import it into the game now.

Well, I have a serious problem. The PS1 fairlane matches up with the wheels perfectly...that's not the problem though.

THE CAR IS STRETCHED OUT. It looks ridiculous, and until we can somehow modify the wheels so they fit on this vehicle, I think it's a no go...

Image

Compare that to the image above. It's just too damn wide!

EDIT: I tried scaling it back down to size, it failed...

This project will be a WIP until further notice. HOWEVER, If people reaaaaaalllllyyy want it, I will post it as is (the wide-body)

Very, very good work on the model, i'm sure the wheels can be fixed.
Maybe you can ask someone972.

It reminds me good times when I was driving it at Playstation. Great to see it one more time!

3D Studio Max

Yep, 3ds Max. The version I had used to make that was 3ds Max 2009. Unfortunately I have lost all work that you see here due to my hard drive frying...it sucks.

It's an excellent program, I'm currently writing some tools for the scripting language inside of it - it's very powerful, and the best part is, you're basically integrating a powerful scripting language into a powerful 3D editor - it's like a dream come true!

In 3DS Max, I need plugins or else to use it in Driver?

I'm confused by your question...I was making this as a project, but I lost the files due to hard drive failure.

Read the Driver Texture Editor documentation. I believe there is a car importer tutorial somewhere as well.
