I cannot begin to explain how long it freakin' took me to convert the Midtown Madness 2 Ford Mustang into Driver! I had to texture it and all! RESIZE IT! I even had to cheat a little bit and extend it so it fit the Chevy Chevelle chassis...yeah...

I'll zip it up as a mod for everybody to have...IF YOU WANT IT!

ATTENTION: The mod has been posted for everybody to have! ENJOY! It is in it's final version.

I remember driving that car both in Midtown Madness: Chicago Editon and Midtown Madness 2. Great car, I must say! I also remember driving it in San Francisco Crash Course :specialdriver:

Well... the MOD is quite good, better than that is impossible, I think, but are you used the original car mesh? Take a look:

I know about the texture problem... it`s because of the program I`m using.

Just a question... is there any import/export program existing for Driver? I know that SOAP was released some cool betas ( now currently beta 3 :) ), but not a final version, that`s why I am asking. I think it`s will be good to merge Driver Texture Editor with Import/Export Feature...

Someone972 is working on it. Be patient! xD

And yes, it is an original mesh. I just modified the textures and stuff because they didn't look good originally...

Wow, that is cool, man.

My sister used to have a 1969 Fastback Mustang. I think that is what she said it was anyway. It looked like this car and that one in Bullit, which was the same color as my sister's car. She also had a car, which said Mach II on it, that looked sort of similar. I do not know anything about cars, so I do not know if that (Mach II) tells you guys anything. She had some cool cars, though.

You guys are awesome at this modeling and texturing stuff, man. Thank you for exhibiting your work and sharing your mods.

Are you sure it was Mach II and not Mach I? There are Mustang Mach 1's that are very similar to regular fastbacks. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Mustang_Mach_1.

Back on topic; This car actually looks better with shiny cars then a lot of mods. I'll have to try and figure out how to fix the shinyness for the others sometime.

I am not at all sure. It could have said Mach I, I guess. Thank you for the reply and for the hyperlink, someone972, and again for the DRIVER mods, man.

Nice model, I tried to import it but when I choose the chevelle it has the textures from the mustang but strangly flipped all over the car  Did I fail to import it correctly or what?

What did you do to the model? I can see what you did to the texture, but not the model..

You can't see it on screenshots.
I modified front lights (they extruded inside), now I think model more similar to a real prototype

Umm...did you do what the readme told you to do? You didn't replace the model, you simply replaced the texture. Make sure the IMPORT_FMUS.BAT file is in the LEVELS directory AND that you have SOAP's Pre-Beta 3 tools. Otherwise, it won't work...

Hmm..yeah as far I know I've followed it. I placed the IMPORT_FMUS.BAT in the LEVELS directory and so the PLAYERCAR10CLEAN.dmodel. I also did the step with the DTE 2.0, is this the tool you mentioned above or is it another tool I need? Where can I download it?

Thanks in advance

If you haven't already, you need to download the model importer by SOAP from this thread (first link): http://www.drivermadness.net/forum/v2/v ... =72&t=2075 Then there should be a program in there. Take it out and put it in your LEVELS directory and then run the batch file. It should work then.

Yep, DTE 2.0 is for textures only, you need to download SOAP's model tools in order to modify models.

Great addon. Having much fun with it. You should create "Bullit' skin for it :)

It inspired me to create my next addon car :)

d1_md_loader sometimes glitchy. Does game loads slowly after you run IMPORT__FMUS?
