Driver Madness

Hi everyone.

I'm new to drivermadness. Some uses here may know me because I go by the name gamersin on YouTube and I know that some of my content has been used in some posts on this site.

I was wondering if it's possible for anyone to develop a tool that can transfer car models from 1 .LEV file to another?

I've tried different hex editors and programming tools to try and find the data structure of a LEV file for PS1, but so far, no luck

Sadly, I don't think so.

Although the models have been mostly decoded for the PC version and should be transferable between PC levels, there has not been much work done on decoding PS1 level files.

Hey, I remember seeing your videos on Youtube! Would you happen to know if you could rename the Driver 1 .LEV files in order to produce screwed-up cities like you did in Driver 2?

I've tried it before and it kept crashing I might have to fidget around with the levels a bit more to get it to work.

I tried telling someone972 to get to work on decoding the PS1 LEV files, but he's been really busy and is focusing mostly on the PC LEV files.

I have lost contact with someone972 again, he hasn't signed on since January...he said that he would be on more often, but of course lied. He told me that he uses his main email account more than his secondary (the one I know) so I can't get a hold of him otherwise.
