Ok, so I realized that making chase missions is sort of simple. I posted 2 threads about it, so I won't go into detail.

So since you own the game, can you do the following?


1. Start off in main directory
2. Open ReplayData
3. Go to Chase
4. Open MA0.PADS and MA0.PINGS


Brief explanation:

MA0.PADS is the path of the car, but if you edit the mission script (Mission12.dms) by changing "SetLeadCarModel 4" to something like "SetLeadCarModel 5", the car goes haywire. If you were to record your own, for say, going in a circle, with the skylark, it wouldn't work right, because all the cars have different handling (even the civ cars)

So, once you decipher what controls everything, go on to MA0.PINGS.

I have no idea what this file does, and once changed a "C" to a "D" and I got a "OUTOFRANGECOMMAND command missing!!"

Now, I get the feeling it controls speed too, because you definitely don't go 81 mph like usual. So, someone, please help me. We can finally make our own chase missions!

Oh, and for comparison, use MA1.PADS & PINGS - MA13.PADS & PINGS to see if theirs any difference.
