If we were able to extract the Textures and Models from .LEV files, we wouldn't be able to compile a brand new city. Why? Missions people, MISSIONS! The original .LEV files also have markers to allow for the .dms commands. Important ones, like SetPlayerPosition, need coordinates!
What i'm saying is that maybe we should only try to stick to texture mods, because sadly we will never, EVER make new Models and what not. Just my 2 cents.

Yeh gd point, u see the thing that bugs me is other games like i donno tomb raider for example has all the objects etc compressed into their level files and utilities have been made to take them out etc so why is driver so hard to hack?? lol also theres a level editor too so why is driver so complicated lol

Driver could have been THE most awesome free roam game if they included extracter's, but maybe it was too hard for them to code them. We'll never know. I tried to contact Simon McKeown and Andreas Tawn, but no responses so far.

Never say never again. Nothing is impossible.

Simon did not joined Reflections during that time. He joined Reflections after the consoles release of Driv3r.

Models can be accomplished, I think. All it takes is proper recognition of the type of data. Just like I relized that a set of data was a color palette, there are ways of telling what a 3d model is, although difficult. The format of a level can slowly be revealed, some by observation and some by messing with it and seeing what useful errors driver spits out. I can see how it would seem impossible, but game makers such as myself know how these work. Don't give up hope
