Hehe. I found out the civ car caddy in NY has almost the same body style as the player car cadillac, so i took my time and made this texture -

I tried to make a real life texture version, but I gave up (this was before I got the program)

There are the ugly rims. Its like that because I found some rims in flat.lev, and tried to replace the miami_01.lev ones. Problem is, the rims are contained in a palette, and probably have transparency, so it came out with a box :(

It's a shame there wasn't many textures... :(

loos good. I was working my way through the ps1 missions on the emulator to get to the bomb pickup to get its textures (beat up) but it now keeps crashing at superfly drive. that distant model cruiser looks funky, i think the windows need a reversing...

yes, thats me. Im working on skins for this, matching things around, getting damage. no real projects in a long while. I started a mid to high poly 1979 dodge st regis, driver cop car replica. Ive started making models of my real trucks for mm2 and gta, my 1991 f150, 1994 f150 and my 2007 f350, (which i just recently smashed into a telephone pole) i got a few others, but thats about it, i may reskin the drive dodge ram to one of my trucks, then when everything is ready, put them im game. I currently have the san fran traffic ford ltd all matched up to the chevelle skin, since it has a close bodyshape, im perfecting the traffic 72 deville to the blue fleetwood.

A really cool Midtown Madness 2 car maker - he is very good at modeling cars, he made the player cars and civ cars playable in MM2 by re-modeling them...

I see that someone edited the Driver wikipedia article to include that we have a texture modding program working. I regret to inform you that this section was removed by someone for the reason:
spammy modding section promoting non notable modding
I disagree with this. This is the only possible mod for Driver at the time besides missions, which is quite notable. However, let's not recreate that section until I release the first version of the program (should be soon), so that we have a permanent link to it. That way we can avoid being accused of spam again.

Currently I'm working on getting a GUI working.

I think that ps1 LTD skin might fit better on the nova, I did that with the PC SF traffic Ford LTD, it looked ok on the chevelle, but it might fit nicer on the nova. it would look great if the front corners didnt slant back, they looks so weird

The best fir for that ps1 traffic ltd would be the "phantom" car body. if you looks closely, its the same 3d mesh, the pc version sf ltd has that skin on the body, looks good.

Yea i know, the program doesnt allow palette importing. Thats why i made the texture in the first place, but i got an error so i had to slap it on another car.

I'll use ur cars to map it, hopefully shouldn't take too long.

ive started remapping the pc texture with the ps1, such as the buick skylark, replacing it with the "pontiac ventura" i will post beter response tommorow with better asnwers, right now im mildly intoxicated, I have several 3d projects (for mm2) and texture projecs (for driver) on the go that will be eventually completed for everyones satisfaction

Work continues. Don't think it's dead. I now have drop down menus coded and will start work on some other things. I might not have much time this week but next week is off so I'll get lots done, maybe even get it finished. (And don't think it will be a pretty program either. It will be functional, just not Windows quality graphics)
