If you are dedicated to modding games in the driver series, make sure you stay around and hopefully we will get into modding driver.
It is currently possible to edit the mission scripts, all the sounds and some of the images (ones found in the maps and the intro page)
If you’re interested feel free to ask more questions...
Aw, I kept thinking I had seen where this was covered already. Man, boss, I’m sorry about when I forget stuff that’s already been dealt with or basically just ask unnecessary stuff that wastes time. I guess I need to hurry up and get to dealing with DRIV3R instead.
Not to kick a dead dog or anything, but over the years I have played a couple of games (literally,
only two, not to exaggerate about it) where either a dude from the development team released a fix, or the developer released a patch even though the publisher did not support those releases. If I could have a wish, I would wish some dude from the Driver dudes would do something like that and correct those default views that the Auto Director cycles through that we talked about before. I’ve been wishing that more than ever since we found out there weren’t likely to be any more Film Director modes in Driver games.
Anyway, sorry about confusing being able to edit the city maps with having access to the game’s texture in general. This is cool, though, because there are a few places I'd like to mark in the Driver city maps to make them easier to find while I'm driving. So thanks again for the infos.
Oh, yah, and thanks for graciously reloacating my misplaced posts that were in JAY's new thread. I appreciate it.
