in the 06 era in dpl in Manhattan near the safehouse is a parking lot if you
go up on it you will find a helipad with a helicopter on it but you can not
get in it and it's in your reach.you also can not get in boats in dpl but
in D3 you can.and why do they put helicopters in dpl if you can not get in
them.

He was asking a retorical question, I think. Not stating old information.

As for the answer to that... I have no idea why put em in and not let you fly them, I could think of a couple reasons but IDK.

-Maybe because they didn't draw distances and/or flying barriers for it?
-Maybe because they don't know how to make good helicopter physics?
-Maybe becasue the game is called DRIVER not FLYER?
-Maybe because they just wanted to trick us into thinking we would bne able to fly one?

I really dont know.

maybe they just want to add some flare into the game and by making it realistic?

A Helicopter makes a chase better, just look at Need For Speed Most Wanted, the Helicopters even scare you :D In Carbon they removed them …
Plus, a Helicopter is like a special force.
And I don't think it would be a cool idea to fly it, well maybe in another game to have a better view of the city, but not in Driver.
By the way, you can blow up the helicopter on the parking :P

I've blown it up too.

It's probably in the game, because you get chased by helicopters. If you find one even though you cant use it, it still seems more authentic.

I heard somewhere that somebody at Reflections said it was there as a trick to make people confused.
