I just found this picture on the internet, it looks so much similar to the cop car in Driver: Parallel Lines *1978!

Hmm, are there any better pictures? I'm planning to make a skin for the 1978 cop car.

That's all I can find at the moment

Also wondering what skin your planning to replace as I'm almost starting to make a skin which replaces the Standard Skin for the Zartex 1978 cop car.

I'm going to replace the standard skin, too. It should look like an original NYPD cop car from 1978. I found a nice site with many photos:
http://copcardotcom.fotki.com/photograp ... /new_york/
I like this paint:
I don't know which skin I should make. But if you are going to create the NYPD Blue Skin as the standard skin, I can choose another one.
The site also inspired me to make new skins for the ambulances and fire trucks.

I achually was looking at a simpler vehicle noticing how good it would look as a default vehicle. But if you really want to use standard you can, just tell me as soon as possible. I am planning to start the mod on Thursday and finished by Saturday morning.
So I found a picture on the internet of what I was looking into for standard, but I'm fine with it as a bodywork if you really want to use standard, it's up to you!
my plan for Zartex

my plan for M700

Okay, you're trying to find nodykits for the Zartex and the M700 …
On my pictures the car looks exactly like the Zartex in 1978 =)

JAY is looking for those.
But we are just gathering some ideas for bodyworks at the moment.
Those images will also be very useful for me to, when I get that wiki project underway.

That would mean the standard Police cars in 1978 (the police cars you see in the streets) would stay blue, right ?
I think you should use the standard kit, the kit without spoilers and all those special things. For the FBI M700, Doc used that, okay for a FBI car, that's an exception but a standard police car would never look like that …

The one that JAY posted was not a NYPD car, it was a NYC/NJ Housing/ Port authority.
Wait Let me post this then edit, I have a Pic.

I know. I didn't say it's an NYPD car.

For the Zartex one of you could also make one of those cars you know, towing service or however it's called. I guess if I say ADAC only Jay will understand what I mean

If I can get my hands on the PC game and figure out how to mod skins I'd make a better tow truck skin (City Wide Towing or something) and for fun make the M700 a Calgary Police car (somebody made one for GTA: SA so why the hell not?)

I'm currently working on a NYPD Traffic Agent paintjob for the M700.
Its similar to a standard NYPD car only dark blue with white reflectives. As pictured below.
The NYPD Traffic Agents also have tow trucks in the same livery, as pictured below. I think this would make a great paintjob for the tow truck.

The Zartex will look great with an original NYPD paintjob. Any news on its progress?

The tow truck would be cool.

Yeh, I agree with you.
Maybe you should also try doing one of those police fire trucks, against demonstrations. There's already one in the game, it's the kit 3 of the firetruck I think, the blue and black one. But a white one, with all the original things would be bettre =)

Yes a riot truck would be cool except the DPL the fire truck's ladder ruins it.

Could always give the negotiator a swat riot tank paintjob. Fires rockets instead of water but meh... don't riot! lol

I can imagine it on a TV ad... "Here in New York we don't like rioting. On our anti-roit tanks instead of pushing people we blow them to bits! This has been a public service announcement."

lol
Is it possible to change the textures from the rockets ? And to make them to water rockets ? lol

Hey Doc, or JAY, why dont you make a mod of the NYC Auxillary Police?

by JAY
Pictures please.

The auxiliary cars look almost identical to the standard police cars. Pictures below; the white & blue is the newest design. The dark blue & white is a slightly older design. I believe the Traffic Agents in the NYPD are also part of the NYPD auxiliary police.

Auxiliary police ? What is this, I never heard of it

But I can read Highway Patrol at the back on the side of the white crown vic

You can just make it out at the front of the blue crown vic on the white stripe too. I found a pretty good example of the NYPD car side.

Do the tow truck that would look great. As for the cop cars. Your american cars are boring.
Check out this one from my hometown of NZ... I mean country... Close enough.
