No, really. Why bother? This is why stereos and audio players are for.

Let's not forget the Custom Soundtrack option. However, that's only for the Xbox version & possibly PC as well (I don't own the PC version so I can't vouch for that).

Bump.
Replaced all the made-for-game songs(songs made by Reflections) and that sh*tty "LOOS FAT N JOOSEH1!!11!!" song in '78 with the following:
Mr. Blue Sky and Evil Woman by ELO.
Play That Funky Music-Wild Cherry
Rise-Herb Alpert
Crosstown Traffic and Purple Haze-Jimi Hendrix
Somebody Up There Likes Me-David Bowie
Also putting in most of the songs they deleted out of '78 on the PC version (such as Pick Up The Pieces and Sleep Talk).

I replaced all the '78 songs with a mix of rock, funk & disco songs. It'd be cool if you could also play a different song in Ray's Garage.

You can always replace the main file for the Ray's Garage '78 audio. (G.XA)

Not in the Xbox version, though...

Speaking of the Xbox version, I wonder when someone's gonna make special modding tools for Driv3r & Driver: Parallel Lines on Xbox. I mean, they've made Halo modding tools for people with modded Xboxes, so why not Driver?

The way you worded it made it sound as if you had the PC version. My bad.

That's OK, the default '78 garage tune is cool enough for me.

I'm really mad that they didn't include ELO in the soundtrack, such a cool and powerful band.
Here's an alternative intro of Driver PL(maybe a BETA) with "Turn to Stone" by ELO

I first heard Clapton's version (at first i thought that it was an Clapton song) , but when i heard J.J Cale version i was impressed, it sounds a lot better.
Cool tune Biscaynes.

The Impacts of Popular Music on Games, and Games on Popular Music

In addition to marketing and industry issues, the use of well-known music in games raises many questions
in terms of music’s production and consumption. There are, for instance, semiotic considerations that
come into play when popular music is used in games. Music in games is heard in highly repetitive
atmospheres: to point to another statistic by Electric Artists, “92% [of players] remember the music from
a game even after they’ve stopped playing it.
” It has yet to be determined how this repetitive aspect of
gameplay affects the reception of the music. As well, the intertextual references in the music (or game)
likely helps to connotatively connect the game or music to specific types of films, books, or social groups.
Indeed, certain types of games have become associated with specific genres of music—the Madden NFL
football series (EA Sports), for instance, features mainly hard rock and hip-hop. Driving games require
“driving music” and are more likely to include dance music. Sergio Pimentel, music supervisor for
Driver: Parallel Lines, for instance, commented that he drove his car around listening to many types of music until
he found the right “feel”

Recently i've found in some early pics of Driver Parallel Lines something that make me thought about an old album, that screenshot looks like Abbey Road album cover from The Beatles.

I think that we should ask Reflections if their inspiration for that screenshot were The Beatles.
