Driver Madness

I recently added Driver: Parallel Lines to my collection & I'm having plenty of fun with it. One of the things that I like is being able to swipe vehicles, store 'em in a garage & customize 'em. Unfortunately, no matter how hard I try, I can't find one vehicle: the wrecker. I'm still in 1978, so could anyone please tell me where I can find this vehicle?

I haven't played PL in FOREVER. But if you could give me a description on what it looks like it might trigger a memory.

It looks like a 1973-80 Chevy/GMC 3500.

With Amber lights and it was usually gray right?


I think I remember it, it is vague though. I remember seeing it most La Guardia, Honestly. I never had that problem, I saw Tow Trucks all the time, OH! and in New Jersey, a lot in New Jersey.

Tell me if you find it. I would look myself but I lost PL ages ago.

Wasn't that the tow truck? Well, complete the repo mission and when you complete it, bring the truck to your garage. That is what I did.

Thanks for the tip! Now all I need to complete my '78 collection are the Security Van, The Mexican's Ride, San Marino Spyder, both prison vehicles, Mutsumi 1000R, all the Punk vehicles, and 3 of the racing vehicles.

Does anyone know how to get the Punk vehicles? I think you need to complete all the Street Races for each difficulty, but I did just that & got Jack Squat.

BTW, in the PS version of DPL you can't keep the prisoner transport bus.

Yes... you may be lucky to drive it, but you'll not be able to keep it in the garage.

If I'm not mistaken, the punk cars are that ones in the Rosalita mission, right? If so, you'll need to steal them and bring back to the garage (I don't remember, as I don't play Parallel Lines in ages).

The Mexican's Ride is in my garage right now. It was so easy to get its not even funny. Also, I have both prison vehicles (bus and transport) in my garage. Those punk vehicles, why worry about those when you can create those yourself with the customization options. Anyways, I have all of those nice cars that you guys don't have. The only one I don't have is the Mellizano.

I will give you guys ONE car for now, and then when you guys help with the Mellizano, I will give you all the rest.

To get the Prison Bus, you must first complete the Jail Break mission. It doesn't matter if you already beat it, you have to do it again. After completing it, look around. You should easily find a prison bus. Or, you can ditch Candy, grab a Prison Bus, and drive it to a garage. In the PC version, you can keep the Prison Bus in your garage.

I will tell you guys how to get the other cars (such as the Prison Transport, the Mexican's Ride, etc) when you all help me to find the Mellizano.

Better yet, you guys help me find the Mellizano, and I will give y'all my game save.

Here's how you find the Mellizano (only in 78) : There is a hard street race in New Jersey after you win other hard street races. When you unlock the New Jersey hard Street race, start it up. Halfway through the race you will see Mellizanos in the traffic. Give up your victory, get out of your car, jack one, and bring it to a garage!

Here's how you get the Mexican's Ride (only in 78): Start the Rosalita Mission. Get to the car. Now, bring up the map, and mark the green dot at the closest garage. Do not bring the car to the Mexican. Bring it to the garage instead. Store it in the garage, REPAIR IT, CLEAR THE FELONY, then bring it to the Mexican. Then after you beat the mission, check your garage under the 2 door sedans. It should be in there.

Here's how you get the Prison Transport (only in 78): Start the Jail Break mission. Store it in the garage right next to you at the start.

I'll post more later. Now see, I am a nice guy.
