I noticed this yesterday. The name for the PC disc is "d4". Could this mean something?

Yes, "D4" is shorter than "Driver_Parallel_Lines" or "D_PL" or even "DPL"

And we already knew this!

It's just a short way to say Driver: Parallel Lines. I'm pretty sure that in the development, the developers used to call it "D4" or "Driver 4".
