At least he lives in Driver: Parallel Lines although we never see him
It makes me wondering, why he would let his guard down like that, then again someone as ruthless as tanner should have just shot him before he could shoot back

But then again earlyier in the story, he was kind of told not to shoot these criminals as they could be used for valuiable informaion or something.

And honestly, how cheesy is that? You cant do that, thats not the kind of thing driver built itself on.

It's normal. Most of game-to-movie adaptations sucks anyways, because they have little resembles in the game that they're based. So, if it's the real script, I won't be surprised.

i have my sources, they made a 20min pilot episode, but never made it to tv, it was rejecteed

I think Tanner will be continued. Remember when Jones was shot in Driver 2, he lived and many people thought he was dead. But he was in Driv3r. If Reflections continues this pattern of dead people returning, Tanner may just live.
