Driver Madness

The storyline of Driver Vegas happens after the ending of Driver 3, with Tanner in the emergency room. His heart has been jumpstarted, and he decides to go after Jericho, the criminal he failed to kill in Driver 3. To do this he must travel to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Proof.

Yeah, it's been like that for ages and then from Driver: Vegas it moves onto Driver: LA Undercover in 2008 with tanner in the game once again.

However that series of driver doesn't really have as much to do with the mainstream series. It's not created by reflections interactive, it's a big company who has payed to use the name and continue the story for the mobile series.

So in pure seriousness we still don't know.
It's like them calling tanner "Tanner Harvey" in Driver: Vegas. Who thought of that stupid name. Reflections creates the mainstream series and takes very few parts in the mobile series so you really cannot call any game in the mobile series created by either glu or gameloft represent any part of the mainstream game developed for the consoles.

It's a tough one to figure out.
But in the next driver they could have tanner again and have nothing to do with driver: Vegas pretty much as the same reason I said above.

no man i reacon they will put driver vegas on the next gen consoles.

I think that would be a horrible idea.
Driver: Vegas story was horrible.
It started off with tanner in Vegas, in Vegas. The cars were meant to go to Russia. The cars didn't even go to Vegas, the story was entirely different from driv3r and didn't eve follow on.

who said they have to stick to the same story they could change it a bit if they wanted and improve.

"TANNER LIVES" spraypainted on the safe house?
besides glu had to sell the stupid idea to reflections didn't they?

The "Tanner Lives" graffiti on the safehouse walls dont mean anything. It could have been put on there buy one of the Atari employees during development, It appears they let a lot of employees draw their own message on the safehouse walls as a treat, and one of them wrote "tanner lives".

I don't think Driver: Vegas was a reasonable entry in the Driv3r series.

Why people say that Driver Parallel Lines is Driver 4?
In this picture you can see clearly that Driver Parallel Lines is not Driver 4,it's only the fourth of Driver series

Also in this video Gareth Edmondson says that Driver Parallel Lines is not a Driver 4

For me it's a good game but it need some fixes,in Driv3r they didn't try hard to make the game and DPL is a Driv3r with some minor fixes.Hope that Driver 4/5 will be better in next-gen

Then why it's even being developed?

Edit: Also, Parallel Lines only sold poorly due to the lack of support from Atari.

They need a new idea of driving games,they need to try something new to attract the people to buy the game,now GTA IV is one of the most sold games in the history.

I have a lot of ideas to make the next game but now nobody wants to hear the name DRIVER,they want GTA,Need For Speed....

For a 2D videogame there are not a lot of mission ideas,i have more ideas for a 3D game
